Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, Anchorage, Alaska, announced promotions to its executive management team. Geoff Lundfelt has been promoted to chief operations officer. Lundfelt has held a variety of increasingly responsible positions during his 15 years with Alaska USA, most recently serving as executive director of retail financial services. Lundfelt holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Jerry Reed has been promoted to chief lending officer. Reed joined Alaska USA in 2008 as executive director of mortgage and real estate lending, and has more than 25 years of lending experience in commercial, mortgage, and consumer lending. Reed holds a bachelor of arts degree from California State University, Sacramento, and an MBA from the University of Maryland.

Security Service Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, announced the promotion of Bridgett Kersh to assistant vice president of member service. In her new position, Kersh will oversee all member service activities in the east district of the central region. Kersh is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a B.B.A. in marketing and minor in management. She joined SSFCU in 2006 as an assistant branch manager and has since held multiple positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as senior branch manager.

MIDWEST

Consumers Credit Union, Waukegan, Ill., recently introduced two new additions to its management team. Wendy Bartlett is the credit union’s new mortgage servicing manager, while Gene Seliger was named director of collections. Each of the new positions was created to better serve the evolving expectations of Consumers Credit Union’s members, the credit union said. Bartlett is a former Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac claims supervisor. Her new responsibilities include reviewing the mortgage department’s processes and procedures for both compliance and efficiency purposes while developing new ideas to enhance cost savings for members. She is currently based out of the credit union’s Mundelein office. Seliger has years of experience in the financial field. He’s previous experience was as operations manager and regional manager at multiple financial institutions. His responsibilities as director of collections include managing the day-to-day activities of the collections department and implementing new ideas and processes to reduce delinquencies. Gene is located at the credit union’s Washington Street branch in Waukegan.

United Federal Credit Union, St. Joseph, Mich., announced that Santina Moore has been named director of national mortgage sales strategy and development. In her new role, Moore will develop new markets and collaborate with internal and external partners to establish a comprehensive multi-year mortgage sales strategy for the credit union. Moore previously served as branch manager for the United FCU Niles region and the Stevensville branch, where she promoted consumer and commercial membership development and overall growth while providing leadership and supervision to branch personnel. She also served United Federal Credit Union as assistant manager of support services.

BluCurrent Credit Union, Springfield, Mo., announced that Gary Kirk was promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer. In addition to being responsible for treasury management, accounting functions, facilities, and asset liability management, he will now also oversee the IT department for the credit union. Some of Kirk’s duties include reporting to the asset-liability committee, board policy implementation and review, maintaining facility standards, budget oversight, and managing the investment portfolio. He joined the credit union in 2004 and previously served within the financial industry for four years. Kirk obtained a bachelor’s degree in finance from Missouri State University, and in 2010 graduated from CUNA Management School in Fort Worth, Texas.

SOUTH

JetStream Federal Credit Union, Miami Lakes, Fla., announced the promotion of Aaron Small to executive vice president and chief operating officer. Small previously served as both senior vice president/chief operating officer and vice president of member experience. As EVP/COO, Small oversees JFCU’s branch network, operations, compliance, training, and IT. Prior to joining the JetStream team in 2010, he served as an expense management consultant to JFCU.
