First Financial Federal Credit Union, Wall, N.J., has hired Deborah Downie as director of business development. Downie brings to First Financial over 21 years of experience at various Wall Street firms in corporate lending and institutional investing. Prior to her employment with the credit union, she founded the Two Rivers Women In Business Consortium in Red Bank, NJ., a professional networking group to help foster and support relationships while sharing resources and giving back to the community. Downie is a CFA and attended Baruch College where she earned her degree in finance and investment with minors in business law and education. She then went on to obtain her M.S. in investment management at Pace University's Peter Lubin Graduate School. First Financial also announced that Richard Stubbs Jr. was promoted to senior accountant. Stubbs began his career at First Financial as a teller in 2011 while finishing up his bachelor's in accounting. Three months later, he was transferred to the accounting department as an accountant. Stubbs is responsible for daily accounting operations as well as preparing financial reports for management and responding to internal inquiries. He graduated from Kean University in Union, N.J., with a BS in accounting in June 2011. He is currently pursuing an MBA from Keller Graduate School via their North Brunswick, NJ campus.

GHS Federal Credit Union, Binghamton, N.Y., announced the promotion of Monica Lescault-Casterlin to controller. Lescault-Casterlin joined GHS in 1996 and within two years she was promoted to the accounting department, she continued to work her way to senior accountant and now to the position of controller Lescault-Casterlin holds an associate degree in accounting from Broome Community College with a minor in computer applications.

Nymeo Federal Credit Union, Frederick, Md., formerly COMSTAR Federal Credit Union, announced that Tonya McLane has joined the organization to further develop its suite of small business account services. McLane comes with a background in the Frederick community and the financial services industry.  McLane joins Nymeo as the business services administrator to develop, implement and administer small business account services to the credit union's ever growing membership in the Frederick and Montgomery County communities.

MIDWEST

Dow Chemical Employees' Credit Union, Midland, Mich.,  recently hired Carl Wilson as its new information technology director. Wilson will be responsible for supervising employees and managing DCECU's enterprise information services and security. He also will evaluate technology systems, ensure that DCECU's technology infrastructure is operating efficiently and accurately, and develop programs and strategies to address DCECU's evolving technology needs. Wilson graduated from Madonna University with a bachelor's degree in computer information systems and from Bowling Green State University with a master of business administration degree.

Eli Lilly Federal Credit Union, Indianapolis, recently welcomed Ron T. Senci to its management team as of vice president, lending.  Senci brings with him more than 25 years of expertise across all banking segments including retail, commercial, consumer and residential mortgage. Senci plans to leverage his knowledge and background in retail banking and lending to grow loans business at the credit union, specifically in the areas of mortgages, credit cards and auto loans. Prior to joining Elfcu, Senci worked in financial services for Fifth Third Bancorp based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and First Bank based in St. Louis, Mo. Senci graduated from Indiana University Kelley School of Business where he studied finance.

Financial Center Federal Credit Union, Indianapolis, has hired Keith Scott as a database administrator. Scott is a graduate of Ivy Tech with a degree in personal computer support and administration. The credit union has hired Michelle Owens as a staff auditor. Owens brings over six years of experience in finance and compliance with her from Huntington Asset Services. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Indianapolis and holds a master's degree in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Financial Center has promoted Kristy DeLong to center operations manager at its Drover Street location. She has been with Financial Center for nearly two years serving as a personal service representative at the Fox Road and Castleton locations. She holds her bachelor's in organizational leadership and supervision from Purdue University. The credit union has also promoted Silvia Piva to production loan clerk. She has worked at the organization for over a year as a personal service representative at the main office. Piva holds a degree in applied translation from London Metropolitan University.

WEST

TAPCO Credit Union, Tacoma, Wash., said that Gwen Terry, vice president and chief operating officer, retired last month  after 42 years. Terry began her career at TAPCO as a teller in 1971. Since then, she has held various titles; assistant bookkeeper, accountant, data processing manager, acting manager, administrative officer, vice president of operations and human resources, and vice president of human resources. In 2004, she was honored by the Pierce County Chapter of Credit Unions Lifetime Achievement award in acknowledgment of her passion and dedication to TAPCO Credit Union.
