The $5.4 billion, Eau Claire, Wis.-based Royal Credit Union re-elected three Board members during its 61st Annual Meeting on April 29 at the credit union’s Corporate Center.

Stuart Schaefer was re-elected to a three-year term on the Board. Schaefer has served on Royal’s Board of Directors since 2010. He currently serves on the Compensation/Governance Committee and Credit Oversight Committee.

Doug Olson was re-elected to a three-year term on the Board. Olson has served on Royal’s Board of Directors since 1995. He currently serves as chairperson of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee and serves on the Credit Oversight Committee and Nominating Committee.

Jennifer McDonough was re-elected to a three-year term on the Board. McDonough has served on Royal’s Board of Directors since 1997. She currently serves on the Political Action Committee and the Audit Committee.

The $3.1 billion, Appleton, Wis.-based Fox Communities Credit Union hired Jason Herbst as vice president mortgage market manager. In his new role, Herbst is responsible for originating purchase money, primarily single-family, mortgage loans, which will require making outside sales calls to maintain and cultivate new relationships with centers of influence such as Realtors, builders and financial planners. This will also include representing Fox by participating in Realtors and Builders Association events. Additionally, he will be responsible for recruiting, retaining and managing a team of outside mortgage loan originators within their assigned territory. Previously, Herbst served as vice president senior mortgage loan officer at Johnson Financial Group, universal banker at Johnson Bank and personal banker at Wells Fargo Bank.

The $155 million, Sioux City, Iowa-based Telco Triad Community Credit Union hired Kayci Britton into the newly-created position of vice president of branch operations. Britton brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, having held roles ranging from teller to customer service manager. In her new role, she will oversee all branch operations across six locations and lead the teller and member service departments, ensuring operational excellence and delivering a seamless member experience.

SOUTH

The $693 million, Woodstock, Ga.-based Credit Union of Georgia announced two promotions.

Crystal Littrell was promoted to vice president of operations and eServices. Littrell joined the credit union in 2017 as assistant vice president – controller and was promoted to assistant vice president of operations and eServices in 2022. She previously served as assistant regional controller and regional leasing controller at the Murphy-Hoffman Company. She holds an MBA and master of science in management from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tenn., and completed the Project Management Certification program at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga., in 2023.

Chandler Ardis was promoted to assistant vice president – controller. Ardis joined the credit union in 2020 as a member solution representative and rapidly progressed through subsequent roles such as assistant branch manager, branch sales and service manager, Cobb area manager and accounting manager. He previously held positions at First Citizens Bank, Synovus and BB&T.

The $5.7 billion, Raleigh, N.C.-based Coastal Credit Union hired Karen DeSalvo as vice president of marketing. In her new role, DeSalvo will be responsible for all aspects of Coastal’s branding, advertising, product growth and membership growth. She brings more than 25 years of executive level experience leading both strategic and operational execution of marketing initiatives, having led rebranding efforts, marketing automation strategies that drove growth, and more during her career in financial services. She most recently served as chief experience officer at the $632 million, Jackson, Fla.-based RadiFi (formerly JAX Federal Credit Union). She also served as chief marketing officer at the $5.1 billion, Winston Salem, N.C.-based Truliant Credit Union and as SVP of retail and digital banking at the $2.4 billion, Winston Salem-based Allegacy Credit Union. She holds advanced certifications in marketing and management.
