The Sun East Federal Credit Union in Aston, Pa., named Debbie Cook as its president/CEO.
She succeeds Michael Kaczenski, who joined the credit union nearly 39 years ago and worked his way up through the ranks, becoming CEO in 2001.

During his tenure as CEO, assets increased from $214 million to $836 million, while loans grew from $45 million to $713 million, and membership expanded from 35,165 to 50,396, according to NCUA Call Reports.
Kaczenski will continue to serve as an executive advisor.
Cook has previously served as Sun East’s president, and as its EVP and CFO.
With more than 30 years of expertise in strategic planning, financial strategy and member-focused initiatives, Cook has been instrumental in driving Sun East’s growth and innovation, the credit union said in a prepared statement.
"As we embark on this next chapter, Debbie’s vision and expertise will be pivotal in strengthening Sun East’s position as a trusted financial partner," Sun East Board Chair Thomas Crawford said. "We look forward to the positive impact her leadership will bring to our members and communities."
Sun East’s 143 employees operate seven locations serving members and businesses in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.
