Credit union leaders in Nevada gathered Wednesday in Carson City for the 2025 Nevada Government Relations Rally, where President/CEO Scott Simpson unveiled Nevada’s Credit Unions, a newly rebranded trade association reflecting the state’s credit unions and their alliance with California and Utah.

The brand launch took place during the legislative briefing, just before industry leaders met with state lawmakers to discuss key credit union priorities. The announcement reinforced the collaborative philosophy guiding credit unions in Nevada and underscored the strategic partnership alliance announced last year between Nevada’s Credit Unions, the California Credit Union League and Utah’s Credit Unions.

“Our rollout of ‘Nevada’s Credit Unions’ is a testament to our combined strength, reflecting our commitment to empowering credit unions and advancing their unified goals in Carson City and across Nevada,” Simpson said. “Working with our credit union leaders, today’s announcement speaks to the innovation, dedication and trust-building within the communities they serve. The positive energy and productive discussions from our Nevada Government Relations Rally, combined with this exciting brand launch, demonstrate the value of our partnership alliance with California and Utah, solidifying our commitment to serving the advocacy needs of local credit unions — so they can serve the financial needs of Nevadans.”

A Symbol of Strength and Unity

The new identity represents collaboration, innovation and trust, principles that have guided Nevada’s Credit Unions and their long-standing partnership with the California Credit Union League since 1996, according to the organization.

The alliance, which includes Utah’s Credit Unions, is designed to amplify credit unions’ collective voice while preserving local leadership and advocacy efforts.

Scott Arkills, Chair of Nevada’s Credit Unions and CEO of Silver State Schools Credit Union, emphasized the strategic alignment and forward momentum created by Wednesday’s launch.

“Nevada’s Credit Unions is a mutual statement of our solidarity and shared vision,” Arkills said. “It signifies our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of member credit unions and the communities they serve. We’re excited that this new brand positions us for continued growth in the coming years and reflects our credit unions’ foundational principles and worldview.”

Advocacy and a Bright Future

The Nevada Government Relations Rally, held every two years, provides credit union leaders with a direct platform to engage with state legislators, strengthening advocacy efforts and ensuring Nevada’s credit unions continue to thrive.

Nevada’s Credit Unions’ new visual brand identity incorporates vibrant elements inspired by the Silver State’s landscapes, representing a deep-rooted commitment to community-focused financial services. The brand serves as a symbol of empowerment, reinforcing the credit union movement’s dedication to member success, financial education and locally tailored products.

The unveiling of Nevada’s Credit Unions marks a pivotal moment in the organization’s history, ensuring that credit unions and their members across the state are positioned for long-term success.
