Washington State’s largest credit union announced Wednesday it plans to open two more branches in the state by the end of the year.
BECU of Tukwila, Wash., near Seattle ($29.7 billion in assets, 1.5 million members), will open a second branch in Kirkland, 11 miles east of Seattle across Lake Washington, where the credit union has more than 28,000 members. Kirkland is in King County, which includes Seattle, Tukwila and 37 of BECU’s 63 branches and other locations, according NCUA data as of Sept. 30.
