Committed to Serving Community Members with Heart
Luminaries finalist Ken Orgeron talks about the organization’s commitment to its member community, especially those serving overseas in this “Meet the Luminaries” episode.
Serving overseas military installations as well as Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia and New Jersey, Andrews Federal Credit Union exists to help its members along their financial journey. And, since taking the helm three years ago, Ken Orgeron’s work to that end has earned him a Credit Union Times Luminaries Awards nomination in the “Credit Union Executive Leadership – CEO ($1B-$4B)” category.
In this “Meet the Luminaries” podcast, Orgeron talks about the different programs he’s spearheaded to improve the financial lives of Andrews Federal’s member community, domestically and abroad. You’ll hear about:
- How Andrews Federal strengthened its relationship with the military community, including those stationed in Germany and impacted by high-energy prices from the war in Ukraine;
- How the credit union has engaged its staff to participate in volunteer programs such as food and book drives and at local animal shelters; and
- Why the FCU’s best practices include ensuring a good work-life balance for its staff, and investing in technology and partnering with fintechs.
