Because of different commitments and interests outside of work, it's not always easy to get a majority of employees on board with consistent volunteer work in the community. But Family Savings Credit Union found a way, and through their "All In" program earned a nomination for a Credit Union Times' Luminaries Award in the Community Impact category.

In this "Meet the Luminaries" podcast, CMO Lesli Bishop and director of marketing Jessica Brown talk about how they are creating a culture of volunteerism at Family Savings Credit Union. You'll hear about:

  • How "All In" makes it easier for employees across departments to give back to their community by providing them with all the information needed to find volunteer opportunities;
  • How Family Savings' growth into new markets adds new volunteers to the program, while also expanding the credit union's positive impact in new communities;
  • The best practices required for a successful program, including cross-department engagement and an introduction to volunteering baked into new-hire training.
