New Professionals Appointed at Ent CU, CEFCU, Mazuma CU & Centra CU

Amy Nigrelli

The $9.7 billion, Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Ent Credit Union announced one new hire and one promotion.

Amy Nigrelli was hired as chief marketing officer. Nigrelli brings nearly 20 years of experience, including vast experience building strategies for brand, product marketing, community impact and optimizing operations. She most recently served as chief marketing officer for Nusenda Credit Union ($4.9 billion, Albuquerque, N.M.). From 2011-2020, she held various leadership roles with CUNA (now America’s Credit Unions).

Chris Chippindale

Chris Chippindale was promoted to chief experience officer. He most recently served as SVP, northern operations for Ent. In his new role, Chippindale will continue to drive Ent’s strategy towards becoming a world-class service organization. He will oversee key member experience divisions, including electronic banking, experience design and digital product.

Tim Rowe

Member One, a division of Virginia Credit Union ($5.2 billion, North Chesterfield, Va.), announced two regional leadership team appointments for its combined Roanoke Valley, New River Valley and Lynchburg markets following the completed merger of the two organizations on Aug. 1.

Tim Rowe was named market president for Member One. Rowe is a 38-year veteran of Member One. In his new role, he will lead regional efforts in member services, employee engagement and community involvement. Rowe serves as a board and finance committee member of the Local Advisory Board for Virginia Western Community College and is a former director for the Blue Ridge Land Conservancy. He also serves on the board of the Virginia Council on Economic Education, which provides economic and financial education resources and training for teachers and school divisions. He holds an MBA from Radford University in Radford, Va.

Jean Hopstetter

Jean Hopstetter was named senior EVP and merger integration executive. Hopstetter has almost 30 years of experience in the credit union industry, including 16 years at Member One. In her new role, she will lead regional efforts related to the organization’s integration goals and objectives, including the integration of member-facing operations as well as the work of support and administrative staff. She currently serves on the board of the Roanoke County Public Schools Education Foundation, which raises funds for scholarships and grants to assist students and teachers. Hopstetter recently completed a six-year term on the Taubman Museum Board of Trustees, and also served on a joint advisory committee appointed by the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors and School Board to study the construction of a new career and technical education center for Roanoke County. Hopstetter has an MBA from Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, Fla.

MIDWEST

The GLCU Foundation for Financial Empowerment, the charitable and volunteer arm of Great Lakes Credit Union ($1.5 billion, Bannockburn, Ill.), announced the addition of two new members to its Board following the merger between GLCU and encurage financial network credit union (EFNCU).

Polly Kosyla

Polly Kosyla was added to the Board. Kosyla brings 35 years of experience working with nonprofits, and currently manages insurance programs for nonprofits through her insurance agency S. Wolf & Assoc. In 2016, Kosyla and her insurance agency started Lend A Hand, a nonprofit that gives back to clients and the community through running school supply drives, holiday gift-giving programs for veterans and more.

Thomas Monticello was added to the Board. Monticello currently provides accounting support for Chicago Partners Wealth Advisors, which he joined at its inception. Previously, Monticello was a regional manager for AT&T and Lucent Technologies. He is semi-retired.

Breana Bagley

The $7.8 billion CEFCU in Peoria, Ill., hired Breana Bagley as assistant chief legal counsel and compliance counsel. Bagley holds a Juris Doctorate, having graduated from the Southern Illinois School of Law in 2022, and most recently practiced law with the firm Sandberg Phoenix. In her new role, she manages vendor due diligence and oversight, comprehensive third-party risk and oversight, regulatory change management legal advice and opinions on compliance, regulatory, operational and transactional matters, as well as counsel on internal policies, procedures and new business initiatives.

The $1 billion, Overland Park, Kan.-based Mazuma Credit Union promoted Mike Schreck to the newly-created role of chief risk officer.

Michael Schreck

Schreck brings 38 years of risk management experience, including 10 years spent as a bank examiner. He joined Mazuma over a decade ago, serving in various risk management roles and helping the credit union build out its risk management functions. His expertise spans financial and market risks, regulatory compliance, operational and fraud risks, and strategic and reputational risks. Schreck is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Chartered Global Management Accountant, Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert and Credit Union Compliance Expert.

The $2.1 billion, Columbus, Ind.-based Centra Credit Union hired Lynne Coverdale as a mortgage loan consultant.

Coverdale has worked in the mortgage industry for more than 35 years and most recently served as a mortgage loan originator at Merchants Bank. She has also served as a loan processor, underwriter and mortgage loan originator, and as president/CEO of her own mortgage brokerage. In her new role, she will primarily serve the Carmel, Westfield, Fishers, Zionsville and surrounding Indianapolis area. Coverdale holds an MBA in business management administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and is an Affiliate Member Graduate of the Real Estate Leadership Academy. In addition, she is a committee member for the Women of Vision/Riverview Health Foundation annual luncheon, which seeks to raise money for women and children in need, and a special needs ministry classroom leader for White River Christian Church Teen Group.

Rebecca Stone

Rebecca Stone, CEO for the $271 million, Bowling Green, Ky.-based Service One Credit Union, was elected to the Board of Directors for the Kentucky Credit Union League. In this role, Stone will bring her extensive experience and leadership skills to participate in the growth and development of credit unions across the state.
