Shared Accounts With CU Times: NCUA’s Todd Harper’s Newsworthy Year & What’s Ahead
NCUA Chairman Todd Harper talks about his priorities, his health, industry concerns and more.
It’s not often we get one-on-one time with NCUA Chairman Todd Harper – he’s a busy person, of course. In this episode, Harper joins CU Times for what truly was an open discussion about a variety of topics including: succession planning, the military banking program, third-party vendor authority and an update on his personal health issues that made news earlier this year.
For the record, Harper was open to all of our questions, including providing clarity to the recent military banking issue involving Navy Federal Credit Union that also made news this spring.
Since 2021, Harper has led the NCUA Board through the pandemic, through a number of economic challenges and now he’s laying out his priorities for the rest of the year and into 2025.
We talk about all of those things, plus a little side discussion about “Ghost In The Machine” by The Police.
