Eastman Opens Branch in Northeast Tennessee
New Elizabethton branch offers a curbside service to allow members to bank from their cars.
Eastman Credit Union of Kingsport, Tenn., opened a new branch Aug. 22 in Elizabethton, Tenn., 35 miles southeast of Kingsport in the mountainous northeast tip of the state.
The new branch is the first full-service branch to offer ECU Curbside, which allows members to conduct business from the convenience of their vehicle.
“Whether a member has trouble walking or maybe they have a sleeping baby in the car, we are equipped to help those who need additional assistance,” President/CEO Kelly Price said. “We introduced our initial ECU Curbside branch in Kingsport after seeing an opportunity to help members who need services above and beyond what we can offer in the drive-through or at the ATM.”
Eastman ($8.6 billion in assets, 335,288 members as of June 30) broke ground for the Elizabethton branch in April 2023. NCUA data shows Eastman had 30 branches and other locations March 31.
