Credit Union Conferences in 2024: An Evolving List

CU Times has once again scoured the internet to bring credit union industry professionals a comprehensive listing of conferences and events to fill their 2024 calendars. With the COVID-19 pandemic in the rearview mirror, the world of credit union conferences has settled back into its business-as-usual routine, with the exception of several hybrid events that seem to be a permanent fixture in our post-pandemic era.

The biggest adjustment to this list compared to our 2023 compilation concerns the approved CUNA-NAFCU merger. Events set to be hosted by CUNA and NAFCU are now listed under the heading America’s Credit Unions, the name of the newly combined trade organizations.

Here’s a rundown of what’s on the credit union conference agenda so far in 2024, in alphabetical order by group name, along with links to conference registration pages when available. CU Times will continue to update this list as we become aware of new information.

ACUMA

The American Credit Union Mortgage Association (ACUMA) has the following events slated for 2024:

• Make Your Mark Annual Conference: Sept. 29-Oct. 2 at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

AKUVO

The collections and credit risk fintech will host its first-ever users conference Sept. 10-12 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.

Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union

The Credit Union Leadership Symposium, hosted by the Naperville, Ill.-based Alloya Corporate, will take place Sept. 4-6 at the Omni Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.

ALM First

The Dallas, Texas-based financial advisory services provider will host two conferences in 2024:

• ALM First Financial Forum: Sept. 22-25 at The Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain in Marana, Ariz.

America’s Credit Unions

CUNA and NAFCU have officially merged and are now called America’s Credit Unions. A full list of 2024 America’s Credit Unions events can be found here. They include:

• Congressional Caucus (NAFCU): Sept. 8-11 at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

APEX

APEX 2024, co-hosted by the Cooperative Credit Union Association and the Credit Union League of Connecticut, will be held Oct. 16-18 at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, Conn.

California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues

The league representing California and Nevada credit unions will host its annual conference, REACH, Oct. 20-23 at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina.

Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union

The $5.7 billion, Plano, Texas-based corporate will host its Strategic Summit (formerly the Economic & Payments Forum) Oct. 7-9 at the La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio.

Corporate Central Credit Union

The Musgeko, Wis.-based corporate credit union’s 2024 Economic Outlook Conference will be held on Sept. 12 at the Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee, Wis.

Credit Union EduCruises

The hosts of credit union-specific educational programs around the world will offer several cruise and land conferences in 2024. A full list and details can be found here.

Credit Union Times Luminaries Awards 2024

The third annual Credit Union Times Luminaries Awards dinner will be held Nov. 7, 2024 at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in Orlando, Fla.

CrossState Credit Union Association

This league, which represents credit unions in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, has the following events scheduled for 2024:

• CU Reality Check 2024: Oct. 28-30 at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City, N.J.
• CEO Summit 2024: Dec. 10-13 at the Casa Marina Key West Resort in Key West, Fla.

CU Business Group

The Portland, Ore.-based business services CUSO will host its west and east coast National Conferences on the following dates:

• East: Sept. 23-25 at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel in Asheville, N.C.

CU Intersect Conference

The CU Intersect Conference, a dedicated credit union cybersecurity conference co-hosted by NCU-ISAO & Pure IT CUSO, is scheduled for Oct. 21-23, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach, Calif.

CUES

The credit union talent development organization has a number of educational events planned for 2024, including:

• Directors Conference: Dec. 8-11 at the Omni Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.

Filene Research Institute

The Madison, Wis.-based research firm will host its annual member event, big.bright.minds., Nov. 19-21 in San Diego, Calif.; venue TBD.

Finovate

The financial technology event hosting organization has the following U.S. events scheduled for 2024:

• Finovate Fall: Sept. 9-11 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in New York, N.Y.

Glia: Interact 2024

Interact 2024 will bring together C-suite executives and leaders in digital experience and call centers to learn from industry game changers and other financial organizations. It will be held on Oct. 27-30 in San Antonio at La Cantera Resort & Spa.

GoWest Credit Union Association

MAXX, the annual convention of the league representing credit unions in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming, will be held Oct. 13-16 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Denver.

Healthcare Credit Union Association

The professional association of credit unions that serve health care employees and their families will host the 2024 HCUA Annual Conference Oct. 2-4 at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas.

Horizon Federal Credit Union

The $134 million, Williamsport, Pa.-based Horizon FCU will host Expand Expo 2024 Sept. 8-12 at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, Pa.

Indiana Credit Union League

This state league will host its Annual Meeting and Convention JW Marriott Indianapolis Oct. 2-4. A full list of 2024 events can be found here.

Illinois Credit Union League

The Illinois Credit Union League Annual Convention will be held Oct. 3-5 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk in Chicago, Ill.

Iowa Credit Union League

The Iowa Credit Union League’s Iowa Credit Union Convention will be held Sept. 18-20 at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in Des Moines.

Jack Henry

Credit union technology partner Jack Henry will host Jack Henry Connect Oct. 7-10 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Ariz.

League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates

The league representing credit unions in Florida, Georgia and Alabama will hold its annual Inspire Conference Nov. 13-15 at the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel in Tampa, Fla. A full list of League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates events can be found here.

Marketing Association of Credit Unions

The 2024 MAC Conference is set for Sept. 9-11 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles.

Member Access Processing (MAP)

The CUSO will host its Annual Payments and User’s Conference, Uconference 2024: The Road Forward, from Sept. 16-18 at The Westin Bellevue in Bellevue, Wash.

Metropolitan Area Credit Union Management Association (MACUMA)

MACUMA will host its 66th Annual Leadership Conference on Sept. 16-18 in Hershey, Pa. at the Hotel Hershey and Chocolate Spa. Registration details can be found here.

Money 20/20

The U.S. version of this popular fintech conference will be held Oct. 27-20 at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas.

myCUmortgage

myCUmortgage, a CUSO wholly-owned by the $8.7 billion, Beavercreek, Ohio-based Wright-Patt Credit Union, will host the 2024 myCUmortgage Partner Conference from Oct. 15-17 at the Marriott at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio.

NASCUS

The National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors has a number of events planned for 2024, including:

• 59th Annual NASCUS State System Summit (S3), Oct. 20-23, The Broadmoor, Colorado Springs, Colo.

National Association of Credit Union Chairs

The NACUC has the following events planned for 2024:

• 47th Annual Chairs’ Roundtable Forum: Oct. 15-18, Hotel Monteleone, New Orleans, La.

National Council of Firefighter Credit Unions

The NCUFCU Educational Conference will be held Oct. 2-5, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Riverfront in San Antonio, Texas.

National Credit Union Management Association

NCUMA has one more leadership conference, designed for credit union CEOs, directors, supervisory committee members and all senior-level decision makers, remaining in 2024:

• NCUMA Annual Hawaii Conference: Nov. 1-6 at The Grand Hyatt, Kauai Resort & Spa on Kauai, Hawaii

National Association of Latino Credit Unions & Professionals

The NLCUP will host its 2024 Conference Sept. 15-17 at the The Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas.

PROCU

PROCU, a nonprofit focused on bringing together key leaders from the investment, wealth management and insurance divisions of credit unions, will host PROCU 2024 Sept. 29-Oct. 1 at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in Coronado, Calif.

Sharetec

Credit union core processor Sharetec will host the 2024 Sharetec Users Conference Sept. 8-11 at The Omni Frisco Hotel at the Star in Frisco, Texas.

VentureTech

VentureTech, a fintech showcase event for the entire credit union industry, will be held Nov. 12-14 at the Omni Frisco Hotel in Frisco, Texas.

Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union

The Greensboro, N.C.-based corporate credit union has several events planned for 2024, including:

• Financial Conference: Sept. 11-13 at The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C.
• Payments Conference: Nov. 5-6, virtual

Wisconsin Credit Union League

A full listing of this state league’s 2024 events can be found here. Highlights include:

• Wisconsin Credit Union Connect, which will take place Oct. 29-30 at the Hilton Appleton Paper Valley in Appleton, Wis.
