Shared Accounts With CU Times: Guiding a New Vision for TruStage
Get to know TruStage CEO Terrance Williams, who is cruising through his first year at the helm of the credit union insurance powerhouse.
CU Times first interviewed TruStage President/CEO Terrance Williams, who took over for the now-retired Bob Trunzo last fall, when he was just 27 days into his new role. He’s now been at the helm of the credit union insurance, investment and technology services provider for six months, so we felt it was a good time for a check-in.
In this episode of Shared Accounts With CU Times, Williams discusses how he’s been spending the past six months, his vision for the future of TruStage, and how the company is helping credit unions overcome ongoing challenges. He also shares the benefits of TruStage’s remote work policy and how he’s maintaining a strong culture when employees are distributed throughout the country – including through a new collaborative concept called City Hubs.
We also get the latest on TruStage’s new, environmentally-friendly facility in Madison, Wis., which serves not only as a corporate office but a community event space. And, Williams, who has been mentoring other professionals for the past 30 years, opens up about the fulfillment he gains from sharing his journey and thanks his most influential mentors.
Finally, be sure to stick around to the end of the episode to find out what Williams believes makes an insurance company TV commercial effective – plus what he really thinks about insurance company jingles.
