The $754 million, Pasadena, Calif.-based First Financial Credit Union announced two board appointments.

Shirley Burkhardt was re-elected to serve another three-year term on the credit union's Board of Directors during its Annual Meeting in April.

Erin Hermany Erin Hermany

The $7.8 billion, Enola, Pa.-based Members 1st Federal Credit Union promoted Erin Hermany to SVP of consumer lending operations. Hermany joined the credit union in 2004 as a loan officer team leader, and has since served in various positions including indirect lending operations manager, assistant vice president of indirect lending operations, vice president of indirect lending operations, vice president of consumer lending, and most recently SVP of consumer lending and payment operations. In her new role, she will continue to oversee the auto loan and card operations teams as well as lead home equity and mortgage operations.

MIDWEST

The $330 million, Beloit, Wis.-based First Community Credit Union hired Amy Tincher as CFO. Tincher brings 20 years of finance and accounting experience with a community bank in Wisconsin's Rock County, as well as knowledge in budgeting, financial reporting, audit, operations and accounting. Her most recent role was as a CFO for another institution. Tincher holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, and currently serves on the board and as treasurer of the YMCA of Northern Rock County.

Erick Martinez Erick Martinez

The $17.4 billion Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union in Live Oak, Texas announced two promotions.

Erick Martinez was promoted to SVP – chief compliance officer. Martinez started his career as a national bank examiner at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in 2010. He later served as a director in consumer lending at USAA from 2016-2018. Martinez joined RBFCU in 2019 as assistant vice president – lending compliance, and within a year was promoted to vice president of lending compliance. In 2022, he was promoted to his most recent role of vice president – risk management and chief compliance officer. He also serves as chair of RBFCU's Compliance and Legal Committee.

Hector Hurtado was promoted to vice president of operations compliance. Hurtado joined RBFCU's Consumer Lending Department in 2016. He advanced to a management role in 2018, then transitioned from management into compliance when he was promoted to consumer lending compliance director in 2021. Hurtado later advanced to assistant vice president – consumer lending compliance and most recently served as assistant vice president – business compliance. Prior to arriving at the credit union, he served as a financial center manager for Bank of America's location in Schertz, Texas.

The Dakota Credit Union Association inducted Melanie Stillwell and Darla Erb into its Hall of Fame during DakCU's Annual Summit Awards Banquet on May 16 at Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort in Larchwood, Iowa.

Stillwell, the recently retired CEO of Western Cooperative Credit Union ($449 million, Williston, N.D.), joined Western Cooperative in 1998 and became president/CEO within four years. Over the years, she supported the North Dakota State Credit Union Board, Dakota Credit Union Association Board, CUNA's Examination & Supervision Subcommittee, Williston Rotary Club, Junior Achievement, the Williston State College Foundation and the Williston Economic Development Board, just to name a few. She was previously inducted into the Credit Union Hall of Leaders in Washington, D.C., and was named to a "Top 25 Women in Business" list by Prairie Business magazine.

Erb, former CEO of Voyage Federal Credit Union ($242 million, Sioux Falls, S.D.), became the CEO of Voyage in 1998, a position she held until her retirement at the end of 2019. She served on the board of the Dakota Credit Union Foundation, Sioux Valley Chapter of Credit Unions, Advisory Council of Members United Corporate Federal Credit Union and the Dakota Credit Union Association's Education Committee. In the Sioux Falls community, she has served on the City Planning Commission, as a diplomat for the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and as a board member for the Siouxland Chapter of Alzheimer's Association.
