Space Coast Credit Union will soon have the opportunity to connect with prospective members among a new, large-scale audience – fans of the Miami Dolphins.

The $8.9 billion, Melbourne, Fla.-based credit union announced its partnership with the NFL team Monday, noting it is its first-ever professional sports team partnership.

As a result of the partnership, Space Coast will be the presenting sponsor of the Miami Dolphins Football UNITE program's CommUNITY tailgate, which invites diverse community programs to attend Dolphins home games and unites youth through fellowship and group activities. Additionally, Space Coast will support the Junior Dolphins Flag Football initiative and be featured on Dolphins digital, radio and paid social media campaigns, the credit union said.

What's more, the Watchdog, a Space Coast campaign featuring a yellow and blue dog that always looks out for members' best interests, will be presented during the Dolphins' post-game and coaches shows.

"We know football unites communities across our state," Timothy M. Antonition, CEO of Space Coast, said. "This milestone partnership is one of our strategic initiatives to enhance our presence in and support of South Florida and beyond, fostering community engagement and delivering personalized experiences."

The Miami Dolphins are the oldest major-league professional sports franchise in the state of Florida, having joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. They have played in five Super Bowls, winning championships following the 1972 (VII) and 1973 (VIII) seasons, as well as won five conference championships and 13 division championships.
