Jeffery Miles

The $249 million Prince George’s Community Federal Credit Union in Bowie, Md., hired Jeffery L. Miles as COO and EVP. Miles brings over 30 years of financial services experience, including financial analysis, management and executive leadership roles at Wachovia, Wells Fargo, BB&T and Truist Bank. He most recently served as a vice president at BB&T Bank from 2012 to 2024 during its transition to Truist, where he was responsible for the overall performance of a branch network. In addition, he served as vice president, commercial banker for Truist. Miles serves on several boards, including the Bi-County Business Roundtable Advisory Board and the Prince George’s County Chamber of Commerce Board.

Naveo Credit Union ($165 million, Somerville, Mass.) hired Brenda Tam as SVP, CFO. Tam brings over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, having most recently served as vice president, treasury at Cambridge Savings Bank. Prior to that, she spent 10 years focusing on the area of treasury in the financial services industry, serving as an assistant vice president, treasury officer and senior treasury analyst. In her new role, Tam will direct the overall financial plans of the credit union, including overseeing Naveo’s accounting, forecasting, risk and performance monitoring, budget and audit activities. She is a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Larry Skube

Together Credit Union ($2.4 billion, St. Louis, Mo.) promoted Lawrence “Larry” Skube to the executive management team as CFO. In his new role, Skube will represent the strategic financial perspective in enterprise planning and decision-making, and provide strategic leadership to the finance and accounting functions. Skube began his professional career at Price Waterhouse Coopers as an auditor before moving into an accounting and reporting role with Household International. He then moved on to various accounting and finance positions for organizations such as HSBC, ABN AMRO Bank N.V., and Busey Bank. Skube joined Together in 2018 as vice president and controller. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Everett Peterson

The $815 million, Midland, Mich.-based Members First Credit Union promoted Everett Peterson to vice president of technology. Peterson has 22 years of experience in the information technology industry and has been with Members First for six years. In his new role, he will lead a team of technology professionals responsible for the security, data, infrastructure, Helpdesk and programing of the credit union.

The $98.4 million Serve Credit Union in Des Moines, Iowa announced one new hire and two promotions.

Andy Johnson was hired as COO. In his new role, Johnson will assist the CEO in the overall management and strategic direction of the credit union. He will work in all credit union operations including planning, recommending and implementing programs and policies, and providing general administrative direction. Johnson brings more than 15 years of financial and regulatory compliance experience, having most recently spent three years at the $796 million Community Choice Credit Union in Johnston, Iowa as a compliance officer and three years at Security State Bank in Radcliffe, Iowa as EVP of compliance. He holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and master of jurisprudence (MJ) in compliance and risk management at Drake University Law School in Des Moines. He also has a Certified Fraud Examiner designation and is a member of the CUNA Compliance Council with America’s Credit Unions.

Kalyn Hindman was promoted from financial services officer to senior financial services officer at the Urbandale, Iowa branch. In her new role, Hindman will work heavily in mortgage lending, continuing to originate loans full-time and splitting extra duties such as account/membership openings and credit and debit card maintenance with other financial services officers.

Miranda Sjullie was promoted from member service representative to member service representative II at the Urbandale branch. In her new role, Sjullie will be a prominent leader in the credit union’s lobbies, and assist with the training of member service representatives and opening/maintaining sub accounts.

The $280 million United Credit Union in Chicago hired Robert Dwyer as director of lending operations. In his new role, Dwyer oversees the day-to-day operations of the loan department, including loan goals, polices, procedures, compliance and production. Dwyer most recently served as credit risk analyst/underwriter at Wells Fargo in Lombard, Ill., for the past nine years. Over the course of more than 25 years, he has held several prominent positions within credit unions and corporate finance.
