The $607 million Embold Credit Union announced Tuesday that it has received the Juntos Avanzamos designation from Inclusiv – solidifying the institution as one dedicated to providing Hispanic communities with safe, affordable and relevant financial services.

Based in the Portland, Ore., suburb of Milwaukie, Embold offers a number of services geared toward the Hispanic community, including ITIN loans, financial literacy programs, the acceptance of alternative forms of ID, and official documents and communications that have been translated into Spanish. In addition, one-third of Embold’s frontline staff is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish.

“We are so proud and honored to receive this recognition from our partners at Juntos Avanzamos and Inclusiv,” Embold President/CEO Aaron Goff stated. “It’s exciting to be able to break through language barriers and empower our Hispanic communities in Oregon to reach their financial goals.”

Formerly known as Clackamas Federal Credit Union prior to its name change in February 2023, Embold serves over 35,000 members in the following six counties located in and just south of the Portland Metro Area: Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, Marion, Yamhill and Polk.

According to data shared by the Oregon Office of Economic Analysis in June 2023, the percentage of Oregon residents who identify as Hispanic or Latino has jumped from 2% in 1980 to 14% today, making the group the fastest growing demographic in the state.
