Furbee, who led the corporate from 2010 to 2013, was also a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam War veteran and former SVP at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. According to his obituary posted to Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home’s website, he spent the earlier part of his civilian career at the Chicago Title & Trust Company in Chicago and mortgage banking firm the Kissell Company in Springfield, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Diane Noble Furbee; three children, Nicole, Charles Wesley “Chad” Furbee IV, and Carly; and eight grandchildren, according to the obituary.

“Chuck was a great man and a mentor to many of us. He was a strong leader who listened first, processed information and then took decisive action,” Todd Adams, current CEO for Alloya Corporate, stated. “He will be greatly missed.”

A memorial visitation and celebration of life will take place on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023 at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home in Naperville. In lieu of flowers, Furbee’s family asked that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Naperville Responds for Our Veterans.
