Southeastern Regional Credit Union Schools (SRCUS), a collaboration of seven southeastern credit union leagues, announced two award recipients.

Kelli Green, SVP of marketing for the $350 million, West Monroe, La.-based Centric Federal Credit Union, received the 2023 Hugh Watson Award on June 23 during this year's session of the Southeast CUNA Management School in Athens, Ga. The award, which SRCUS instituted in 2015 to recognize an outstanding third-year student who demonstrates the characteristics of leadership and excellence, was given for the exceptional contributions she made to the class over the course of the three-year program and her outstanding leadership skills. Prior to joining the credit union movement in 2012, Green spent five years in training and staff development with local community banks.

Lindsay Clever Lindsay Clever

Lindsay Clever, training manager for the $2.5 billion, North Charleston, S.C.-based South Carolina Federal Credit Union, received the 2023 Tom McWilliams Service to SRCUS Award, also on June 23 during this year's session of the Southeast CUNA Management School in Athens, Ga. The award, named in honor of the late Tom McWilliams (former Mississippi Credit Union Association SVP and SRCUS vice chair), recognizes a student who exemplifies empathetic leadership, inclusiveness of others and appreciation for their perspectives, excellent communication and listening skills, and a commitment to service and willingness to participate. Along with presenting the award annually, SRCUS plans to make a donation to McWilliams' favorite charity, Children's Miracle Network, and will disperse the funds to the CMN Chapter in or close to the city where the year's award recipient resides.
