Kevin Kendall The $2.1 billion, Denver-based Westerra Credit Union hired Kevin Kendall as a mortgage lending officer. Kendall brings 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry, having most recently served at Wells Fargo.

Kristin Ronca The $3 billion, Fort Washington, Pa.-based TruMark Financial Credit Union hired Kristin Ronca as first vice president, director of brand and growth strategy. In this position, Ronca will play a pivotal role in advancing TruMark Financial's fundamental mission of assisting members in achieving their financial well-being and fostering the development of stronger financial futures. She brings 20 years of experience in brand and product marketing, having worked with brands such as Target, Reebok, Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper and Snapple. Over the past six years, she has served at Adrenaline, a brand-experience company serving the financial industry.

Hugh Johnson The $665 million INOVA Federal Credit Union in Elkhart, Ind., appointed Hugh Johnson to its board of directors. With a marketing and business career spanning over 30 years, Johnson brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the credit union. As a member of the board, he will play a vital role in shaping INOVA's strategic direction, policy formulation and overall decision-making process.

Jay McCracken Member Access Processing (MAP), a Kent, Wash.-based card processing aggregator for credit unions, hired Jay McCracken as SVP of sales. In his new role, McCracken will lead MAP's new business development, sales, relationship management, channel and consulting partnerships. He brings over 30 years of experience in payment and fintech sales, and relationship and account management, having most recently served at Fidelity Information Services in the credit union division. He previously served at First Data and World Pay.

Mark Cummins The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation (MnCUF) recognized Mark Cummins, former president/CEO of the Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN), as a Credit Union Builder in honor of his retirement. Under Cummins' leadership, several programs have been established in recent years for MnCUN member credit unions including WINcentive prize-linked savings, the Minnesota Credit Union Employee Benefits Plan and CU Forward Day. Created in 2008, the Credit Union Builder Award honors an individual's dedication to the success, growth and vitality of the not-for-profit financial movement in Minnesota.
The Dakota Credit Union Association recognized three Dakota credit union professionals for their outstanding individual achievements at a recent awards banquet at the Delta Marriott Hotel in Fargo, N.D.
Kevin Kleingartner and David Neff Kevin Kleingartner, vice president of asset protection for Railway Credit Union ($166 million, Mandan, N.D.), received the Professional of the Year Award. This award honors one credit union professional each year from North or South Dakota for their contributions to advance the credit union movement in their state and the nation by helping to craft an environment that allows credit unions to grow and prosper, to better serve their members.
David Neff, internal auditor and financial specialist for Railway, received the Emerging Leader of the Year Award. This award recognizes one credit union employee each year from North or South Dakota showing proven dedication and enthusiasm for the credit union movement by executing the credit union mission and guiding in new directions that enhance the overall vision of their organization.
Larry Peterson Larry Peterson, volunteer at Coteau Valley Federal Credit Union ($15.2 million, Sisseton, S.D.), was named Volunteer of the Year. This award goes to one volunteer each year who has selflessly contributed time, effort and talent to the development of the credit union movement in their state.
VENDORS
Lisa Paccione Glia, a New York, N.Y.-based provider of digital customer service solutions, hired Lisa Paccione as EVP of sales. She brings decades of financial services and mobile technology expertise as well as extensive global sales experience. In her new role, Paccione will scale the sales organization to expand into new markets and geographies. She most recently served at Twilio as vice president of enterprise sales. Prior to that, she was vice president of sales for Everbridge, a provider of critical event management and public warning software solutions. She also held several vice president of sales and business development roles at Syniverse, a Carlyle-owned Company, and served on the Syniverse board of directors, appointed to one of four seats for minority stakeholder Twilio.

Natasha Chilingerian has been immersed in the credit union industry for over a decade. She first joined CU Times in 2011 as a freelance writer, and following a two-year hiatus from 2013-2015, during which time she served as a communications specialist for Xceed Financial Credit Union (now Kinecta Federal Credit Union), she re-joined the CU Times team full-time as managing editor. She was promoted to executive editor in 2019. In the earlier days of her career, Chilingerian focused on news and lifestyle journalism, serving as a writer and editor for numerous regional publications in Oregon, Louisiana, South Carolina and the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition, she holds experience in marketing copywriting for companies in the finance and technology space.
