Professionals Progress at Horizon CU, Nassau Financial FCU & Greater Texas CU
Professionals step into branch manager, vice president and SVP roles in the West, East and South.
WEST
The $2 billion, Spokane Valley, Wash.-based Horizon Credit Union announced three promotions.
Rhonda Brady was promoted to vice president of enterprise data, solutions and project management. She most recently served as director of enterprise applications and business intelligence. In her new role, she oversees project and vendor management along with enterprise data, solution innovation, data governance and enterprise applications. Brady has been with Horizon since 2018 and is based at its Spokane, Wash., administration office.
Shanon Rieman was promoted to vice president of people strategy. She most recently served as director of learning and organizational development. In her new role, Rieman will oversee talent and recruiting, learning and development, and internal communications. In addition, she will continue to help shape Horizon’s talent hiring strategy and employee development, and will have a greater focus on people and succession planning. Rieman joined the credit union in 2010 and has worked in credit unions for over 20 years, having served at multiple regional credit unions before joining Horizon. She is based at Horizon’s Spokane, Wash., administration office.
Tami Lawrence was promoted to vice president of accounting. She most recently served as director of accounting. In her expanded role, she will gain extended oversight into the organization’s accounting strategy and execution, as well as help prepare Horizon for future growth by planning objectives, systems and processes with senior management and collaborating with other departments. Lawrence joined Horizon in May 2022 and previously worked at Global Credit Union ($624 million, Spokane) for five years. She has been a controller for financial institutions since 2008 and is also based at Horizon’s Spokane, Wash., administration office.
EAST
The $353 million Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union in East Meadow, N.Y., announced four promotions.
Jenya Farber was promoted to SVP of lending. Farber joined Nassau Financial in August 2019 as director of lending, bringing 13 years of experience in the credit union industry. She was promoted to vice president of lending in October 2019.
Victoria Aievoli was promoted to SVP of finance. Aievoli has been with Nassau Financial for over 28 years, starting as an accountant in 1994 and earning a promotion to accounting manager in 1996. She was promoted to internal auditor in 2011, senior director of internal audit in 2019 and shortly after to vice president of finance. In her new role, she will continue to find ways to increase revenue and achieve operational efficiencies, as well as continue to work with the executive team on strategic initiatives.
Kardim Brown was promoted to assistant vice president of marketing. Brown joined Nassau Financial in 2008 as an on-call teller and has since progressed through various roles in the organization. In his new role, he will continue to enhance the marketing department while overseeing the relationship specialist department.
Michael Negrino was promoted to assistant vice president of finance. Negrino joined Nassau Financial in 1999 as an accountant and has since been promoted to senior accountant in 2008, accounting manager in 2011 and director of auditing in 2019.
SOUTH
The $971 million, Austin, Texas-based Greater Texas Credit Union promoted Joseph Yanez to branch manager. In his new role, he will oversee the daily operations of the branch at 242 N. Guadalupe St. in San Marcos, as well as coach and develop the branch team. In addition, he will continue to work to cultivate stronger relationships with members and the credit union’s SEG partner, Texas State University, and increase community engagement. Yanez joined Greater Texas in 2018 as a teller, and has since been promoted multiple times into roles overseeing various branch operations.
