He succeeds President/CEO John Deese, who is retiring after 44 years of service.
Steve Bosack will become president/CEO of the $302 million Guardians Credit Union in West Palm Beach, Fla., on April 2.
He succeeds John Deese, who retired after 44 years of service.
Bosack began his credit union career as one of the first of two senior writers for Credit Union Times, which was launched in April 1990.
Three years later, he joined CUNA, where he worked as vice president of public relations and information services for 10 years. In 2003, he was named senior policy advisor for then-NCUA board member Debbie Matz and later became chief of staff when she served as the federal agency’s board chair.
Bosack joins Guardians from the $35.5 billion Pentagon Federal Credit Union in McLean, Va., where he served as special advisor to the president and as chief communications and governmental affairs officer, according to his LinkedIn professional profile page.
“I am pleased to welcome Steve Bosack to the Guardians Credit Union family,” Deese said in a prepared statement. “I have watched his career blossom over the years. He is a perfect leader to carry on the Guardians tradition of ‘people helping people’ mantra.”
Guardians’ 97 employees operate six locations and serve more than 36,000 members.
