8 Professionals Achieve New Career Goals at 3 Credit Unions

The $11.9 billion Alaska USA Federal Credit Union in Anchorage announced three promotions.
Jeff Gregg was promoted to executive director, business and commercial services. In his new role, Gregg will be responsible for the planning, implementation, direction and control of all business and commercial lending and deposit activities, including the coordination of the operations, sales and administration functions. He has been with Alaska USA since 2016 and previously held the position of vice president, business and commercial lending. He has over 35 years of commercial lending experience, as well as experience with sales and training relationship managers.
Noël Gabler was promoted to vice president, corporate relations. In her new role, Gabler will be responsible for the management of community partnerships and employee engagement, and the administration of the organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) program. She has been with Alaska USA for 12 years and served as the marketing manager before transitioning to the corporate relations team in 2018. She has experience in non-profit management, marketing and advertising.
Bryan Rosbach was promoted to vice president, business and commercial lending. In his new role, Rosbach will manage the commercial loan production with a team that spans across regions of Alaska, Washington, Arizona’s Maricopa County and California’s San Bernardino County. Bryan has been with Alaska USA for five years and served as a commercial loan officer prior to this promotion.

David Sweiderk, president/CEO for the $5.2 billion, Linthicum, Md.-based SECU, was named to The Daily Record’s 2022 Power 100 list. This is the second year in a row that Sweiderk made the list, the first time being in 2021. The Daily Record Power 100 is chosen by the organization’s editorial team and recognizes men and women across Maryland who are shaping businesses, governments, non-profits, law firms and other critical institutions. Sweiderk has also been recognized by The Daily Record by being named to the 2022 list of Influential Marylanders and the 2020 Most Admired CEO list.
Syracuse Fire Department Employees Federal Credit Union ($123 million, Syracuse, N.Y.) promoted Roxane Bowering to CEO, effective Jan. 3. Bowering has worked in the credit union industry for 26 years, most recently serving as director of operations for Syracuse Fire Department FCU. She has been with Syracuse Fire Department FCU for 22 years and served in a range of roles, most notably accounting manager for 10 years.

The $2 billion, Columbus, Ind.-based Centra Credit Union announced four promotions.
Amanda Edwards was promoted to SVP, operations. Edwards has been with Centra for 22 years and held numerous positions with the credit union, from member representative to branch manager to her most recent role as vice president, deposit operations. In her new role, she will continue to be responsible for overall leadership and support of Centra’s strategic direction while supporting other departments within the organization, in addition to overseeing and directing consumer loan operations.
Chrissy Bailey was promoted to SVP, marketing. Bailey has been with Centra for more than eight years, starting as a marketing communications specialist and quickly working her way up to her most recent role of vice president, marketing. In her new role, she will continue to be responsible for overall leadership of Centra’s marketing, corporate communications and community involvement departments, in addition to oversight and strategic leadership of Centra’s member experience department. Prior to joining Centra, Bailey held various positions in broadcast news.
Christy Lee was promoted to SVP, retail. Lee has been with Centra for 15 years and in the credit union industry for 29. Since starting her career at Centra, Lee has held numerous roles including branch manager and assistant vice president of southern Indiana. She most recently served as vice president, retail sales and service, southern region. Prior to joining Centra, Lee held roles such as director of marketing at Industrial Federal Credit Union ($308 million, Lafayette, Ind.) and vice president of operations and lending at Community Credit Union ($1 billion, Rockledge, Fla.). In her new role, Lee will oversee all 24 Centra locations, as well as its contact center and newly-created digital branch.
Stephanie Cunningham was promoted to SVP, risk management. Cunningham has been with Centra for six years and in the banking industry for 19. She most recently served as vice president, risk management for Centra. Prior to joining Centra, Cunningham held many roles including teller, loan officer and compliance specialist at Ameriana Bank (now known as First Merchants Bank). In her new role, she will continue to be responsible for ensuring a culture of risk awareness and compliance through the development and management of a functional risk framework, and oversight of Centra’s compliance management system, in addition to Centra’s loss mitigation department and the oversight of loss prevention and credit solutions.
