Sky Sangduan Sky Sangduan

The $931 million, Modesto, Calif.-based Valley First Credit Union hired Sky Sangduan as human resources manager. Sangduan brings more than 20 years of HR experience and has worked in the credit union space for the majority of his career. He primarily worked for credit unions in the Southern California market, and has experience managing the daily operations and strategic planning of HR including full cycle payroll, benefits and compensation administration, compliance, audit, reporting, HRIS, 401(k), pension plans, recruitment, performance management and workers comp. He holds HRCI and PHR certifications.

Cindy Vela Cindy Vela

The $1.3 billion One Nevada Credit Union in Las Vegas promoted Cindy Vela to vice president of digital services and development. In her new role, Vela will lead the digital service teams in developing and implementing digital strategies for One Nevada's technological vision. Vela has been with One Nevada for over 27 years, joining as a teller in 1995 and moving into digital services and development in 2013 after several promotions.

Nate Scudieri Nate Scudieri

The $2.4 billion Together Credit Union in St. Louis, Mo., hired Nathan "Nate" Scudieri as head of marketing. In his new role, he will lead the marketing, public relations and community outreach teams to ensure their tactics align with the credit union's core values and strategic priorities. In addition, Scudieri will lead the marketing efforts around Together's new CITY Debit Card. He previously led branding initiatives for HLK Health and Centene Corporation as vice president of marketing-Medicare, Energizer Holdings as director of global marketing-auto care; Vi-Jon as director of marketing and various marketing leadership roles at Anheuser-Busch.

SOUTH

Rachel Bond Rachel Bond

The $977 million, Austin-based Greater Texas Credit Union announced two promotions.

Rachel Bond was promoted to assistant vice president of community engagement and public relations. Bond joined the credit union in 2006 and has played a significant role in building the credit union's corporate communications program, developed numerous award-winning marketing campaigns, as well as negotiated and managed sponsorships and relationships with key business partners.

Jason McPhee was promoted to the newly-created position of assistant vice president of strategic partnerships and university relations. In his new role, McPhee will work to further develop strategic partnerships with Texas A&M University and Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas for Greater Texas and its subsidiary, Aggieland Credit Union. He will also explore and expand partnerships with other businesses and institutions that align with the credit union's strategy throughout Texas. McPhee has been with Aggieland since 2021, overseeing new member acquisition for branches in College Station, Bryan and Houston, Texas. He has more than 20 years of experience managing experiential marketing campaigns for national brands including Coca-Cola, Green Mountain Coffee, Keurig and SmartWater.

The National Association of Credit Union Chairs elected five board officers at its 46th Annual Meeting in Boston on Oct. 14.

Incumbent Jim Hollingsworth, board chair of Keesler Federal Credit Union ($4.1 billion, Biloxi, Miss.), was elected to a three-year term and will serve as vice chair.

Incumbent Joe Budnick, board member of SharePoint Credit Union ($300 million, Bloomington, Minn.), was elected to a three-year term and will serve as treasurer.
