CUs in the East & Midwest Reveal New Roles, Board Changes

EAST
The $2.4 billion, Suitland, Md.-based Andrews Federal Credit Union announced three new board roles and one new board member.
Existing Board Member Kenneth McKinney was appointed chairman of the board. McKinney is a retired United States Air Force Colonel with more than 40 years of leadership experience. He is currently COO for Hawkins Group LLC and previously worked at Deloitte Consulting LLP, BearingPoint Inc. and Booz Allen Hamilton. He has also held several volunteer leadership roles for the credit union, including chairman of the human resource committee, chairman of the supervisory committee and executive committee member. McKinney holds an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
Dail Turner, who most recently served as Andrews Federal’s board chair, will continue to serve on the board in the vice chairman role. Turner holds graduate degrees from George Washington University and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He is the owner of Muddy Hope Farms in North Carolina and has over 20 years of Wall Street experience.
Existing Board Member Eugene Dacus assumed the role of treasurer. Dacus is the director of the Office of Congressional Affairs U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and served 26 years with the United States Air Force. He has also served Andrews Federal on its supervisory committee and the asset-liability committee.
Lieutenant Colonel Emma Parsons joined the board. Parsons currently serves in the United States Army and is stationed at the Pentagon. Parsons has also served on Andrews Federal’s asset-liability committee and as a member of the supervisory committee. Parsons holds master’s degrees in education, business administration and global business administration.
The $324 million, Fairhaven, Mass.-based Alltrust Credit Union hired Shanon Dubois as vice president of retail lending operations. Dubois brings over 20 years of residential lending experience, having most recently served as vice president of operations at Poli Mortgage Group, Inc. In her new role, she will be working directly with loan operations staff on all aspects of retail lending oversight. She will oversee the processing, underwriting and closing departments on loans origination through the residential and consumer lending channels. In addition, she will be responsible for designing, managing and administering systems, processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing in a lending compliant manner.
MIDWEST
The $195 million, Decatur, Ill.-based Staley Credit Union announced three promotions.
Cindy Anderson was promoted to EVP/CFO. In her new role, Anderson provides oversight for all financial functions, develops financial strategies to drive the credit union’s vision and oversees all digital services including the implementation of new products. She has been with Staley for over 20 years, and during her tenure has held various roles within accounting, most recently vice president of finance. She is an Accredited ACH Professional and Certified Credit Union Executive.
Rodney Weeks was promoted to EVP/chief lending officer. In his new role, he manages the lending and collections team, oversees lending compliance and develops new lending programs for Staley’s membership. With nearly 30 years of lending experience, he has been a part of the Staley team since 2011, previously serving as vice president of lending. Weeks earned his MBA from Millikin University in Decatur. He previously served as a board member of both the Decatur Family YMCA and Prairieland Services Coordination, Inc., and is currently a member of Staley’s community outreach committee.
Julie Croslow was promoted to vice president, human resources and compliance. Croslow joined the credit union in 2012 as branch manager, eventually advancing to senior accounting analyst in 2015 before being promoted to her most recent role of assistant vice president, human resources in 2019. In her new role, she manages all aspects of HR; administers all employee benefits, policies, procedures and board activity; and assesses and identifies potential compliance risks. Croslow has 33 years of banking experience in multiple areas such as project management, accounting, lending and member service.
