SRP Federal Credit Union Appoints New CEO
Erick Jenkins will take over the helm in September for the retiring Woody Shuler.
Eric Jenkins will become the president/CEO of the $1.6 billion SRP Federal Credit Union in North Augusta, S.C., on Sept. 1, the board of directors said.
He will succeed current interim President/CEO Woody Shuler, who plans to retire, but will continue to serve as a consultant to the board to facilitate a smooth transition and provide support for specific projects as required.
Jenkins is joining SRP from the $389 million Education Credit Union in Amarillo, Texas, where he served as CEO since 2019.
He also previously served as chief deposits services officer for the $1.9 billion Georgia United Credit Union in Duluth, Ga., COO for CU Partner Link and president for the $96.7 million Palmetto Health Credit Union in Columbia, S.C., according to Jenkins’ LinkedIn page.
“The board is pleased and excited that Mr. Jenkins will be joining the SRP team as CEO. His energy, leadership and vision fits well with SRP,” SRP Board Chair Sandra DeVoe Bland said in a prepared statement. “The board feels that Mr. Jenkins is the perfect leader to continue and enhance SRP’s legacy.”
SRP is South Carolina’s fourth largest credit union. Its 389 employees serve more than 182,000 members.
