Wescom Credit Union has become the official banking partner of Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif., the credit union announced Tuesday.

As part of its partnership with Rose Bowl Operating Company, the $5.8 billion credit union, also based in Pasadena, will be the sole presenting sponsor of the Independence Day event AmericaFest for the next five years, beginning with the 96th annual AmericaFest scheduled to take place July 4, 2022 at the Rose Bowl. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

In conjunction with its sponsorship of AmericaFest, Wescom announced it is giving away a four-pack of event tickets to 100 members. The family-friendly celebration will include fireworks, tailgating, a stunt show by TNT Freestyle Motocross and a musical performance by country artist Drake Milligan.

And, in an effort to market the Wescom brand to AmericaFest attendees, the credit union's full-service mobile branch, "Big Blue," will be onsite at the event's Family Fun Zone the afternoon of July 4.

"In working towards our vision of becoming Southern California's premier banking partner and making a difference in the communities we serve, we partnered with the Rose Bowl Operating Company to make sure this iconic celebration continues as a tradition in Southern California," Ashely White, vice president, partner development for Wescom, stated. "As the Official Banking Partner of the Rose Bowl Stadium, this partnership not only furthers our commitment to our communities but will also continue to support the city of Pasadena, where we call home."

Built in 1922, Rose Bowl Stadium is a National Historic Landmark and host of large-scale events including concerts, the Tournament of Roses' Rose Bowl Game, UCLA Bruins football and the World's Largest Flea Market.
