Darlene Lockhart has been appointed president/CEO of the $163 million Xplore Federal Credit Union in Metairie, La., the board of directors said.

She succeeded Rafael Rondon, who left the credit union after he was named president/CEO of the $419 million Tennessee Credit Union in Nashville.

Lockhart most recently served as Xplore’s CFO. She joined the credit union in 2018 from the $17.4 million Terminal Credit Union in Metairie, where she was its president/CEO since 2012.

“Darlene is a firm believer in the credit union movement and with her leadership we will continue to serve our members to ensure their financial well-being,” Xplore Board Chair Neil Johnston said in a prepared statement. “We are very excited that Darlene has taken up the mantel of CEO and we look forward to continued growth and prosperity in our community.”
