The $447 million Jolt Credit Union in Saginaw, Mich., has acquired the naming rights to an event park in downtown Saginaw, the credit union announced in a blog post on its website Tuesday.

Signage displaying the credit union's name has been affixed to the venue – now called the Jolt Credit Union Event Park – which sits across from The Dow Event Center, an indoor arena that is home to the Saginaw Spirit Hockey Team. According to Jolt Vice President of Community Affairs Bridget Staffileno, the Dow Event Center and ASM Global, a Los Angeles-based venue and event management company, managed the naming rights deal that the credit union made with Michigan's Saginaw County, which is the event park's owner.

Staffileno said the partnership is set to last for three years, with two additional three-year extensions on the table for the credit union if it chooses to continue the partnership. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"I couldn't be more excited!" Staffileno stated. "This is an absolutely perfect fit for us because whenever we commit to a community project, we go all in! We have an incredible opportunity to help elevate the events that are already at the event park while creating new ones. The event park just got cooler!"

Jolt President/CEO Alan Watson added, "The Event Park has become an integral venue in the region, and there is no better way for Jolt Credit Union to show that we plan to continue to be woven into the fabric of our community than through this partnership."

Built in 2013, the Jolt Credit Union Event Park is a multi-purpose venue with a 10,000-square-foot pavilion, main stage and green space. It has the capacity to hold 5,500 people and hosts a variety of events including concerts, community events and fundraisers.

"We are ecstatic about the opportunity to partner with such a dynamic and community-centric organization as Jolt Credit Union on the naming rights for the Event Park," Jon Block, general manager for Jolt Credit Union Event Park and The Dow Event Center, stated. "We look forward to partnering with them for years to come and continuing to engage our community with great events and concerts in the great environment that Jolt Credit Union Event Park provides."

The announcement came about two weeks after a Chatsworth, Calif., credit union, the $3.4 billion Premier America Credit Union, inked a naming rights deal with California State University, Northridge.
