Tennessee's Horizon Credit Union Names CEO
Mark Drinnon succeeds Beverly Boling, who retired after 42 years of service.
Mark Drinnon became president/CEO of Horizon Credit Union on Oct. 1, the board of directors for the Kingsport, Tenn.-based financial cooperative said.
Drinnon succeeds Beverly Boling, who retired on Sept. 30.
Boling began her career in 1979 at what was then Municipal Employees Credit Union, which operated in the basement of a former city hall building. During her tenure, the credit union grew from managing under $500,000 in assets to $62 million in assets as of the second quarter of this year. Boling was instrumental in the oversight of several mergers that eventually led to the formation of Horizon in 2014.
Drinnon joined Horizon in 2013 serving as its COO. He has more than 40 years of experience in lending and compliance.
Horizon’s 21 employees operate three branches that serve nearly 5,000 members.
