ServU Credit Union Board Appoints CEO
Keith Orfanides will take over the helm after Nancy Williamson retires at the end of the year.
The ServU Credit Union board of directors appointed Keith Orfanides as its president/CEO.
He will succeed Nancy Williamson, who plans to retire at the end of the year after leading the Painted Post, N.Y.-based credit union for 49 years.
Williamson started her career at ServU as a loan file clerk while attending college. At that time, the credit union was managing assets of about $500,000.
After graduating from Elmira College with a degree in accounting, she became CEO at the age of 25. Under her executive leadership, ServU has grown its assets to $415 million, as of the end of the second quarter. Williamson also oversaw the development of the credit union’s branch network and several mergers.
Orfanides joined the credit union in 1991 as a teller. After working in the internal audit department, he was promoted to vice president of IT and lending. In 2006, he was named EVP and became ServU’s president in July.
ServU’s 103 employees operate six branches and a corporate office and serve more than 35,000 members.
