TDECU Becomes Official CU of the Houston Texans

The deal between TDECU and the Texans will include special financial wellness events for the community.

The $4.4 billion TDECU announced a new and exclusive partnership to become the official credit union of the NFL team the Houston Texans.

The partnership, announced Thursday, will provide “unique benefits to TDECU employees and members, and improve the lives and financial well-being for community partners.”

“We are proud to partner with a strong community leader like TDECU,” Houston Texans President Greg Grissom said. “Our organizations are both focused on serving the needs of the Houston community and we can now do this side by side. We look forward to working together for many years to come.”

TDECU President/CEO Isaac Johnson said, “We are proud to partner with the Houston Texans, who share our interest in giving back to the communities we serve. Through this partnership we will continue to help people navigate their financial journeys.”

As part of the partnership, according to TDECU, the credit union will be the Texans’ official “Redzone Partner,” which means every time the Texans reach the redzone of the football field during the regular season, TDECU will make a donation to the Houston Texans Foundation. The NFL team and TDECU also plan to host an annual Financial Wellness Night to help expand financial education and wellness in the community.

TDECU and the Texans will hold their first joint-community event on Friday, Aug. 6 during the Houston Texans Training Camp.

TDECU, headquartered in Lake Jackson, Texas, has $4.4 billion in assets and serves more than 350,000 members.
