Credit Unions in New Mexico, Michigan & Georgia Name New CEOs
Andy Ramos takes over the helm at State Employees Credit Union in Santa Fe.
State Employees Credit Union in in Santa Fe, N.M., appointed Andy Ramos as president/CEO.
He succeeded Harold Dixon, who retired in June after 24 years of service as CEO.
Under Dixon’s executive leadership, SECU grew its assets from $48 million in 1997 to $866 million at the end of this year’s first quarter. The credit union’s membership also expanded from 18,000 to nearly 50,000, according to NCUA Call Reports.
Ramos comes to SECU from the $6.6 billion Redwood Credit Union of Santa Rosa, Calif., where he was most recently served as SVP of member engagement.
At RCU, he also served as SVP of member experience and member service, and as a regional manager of sales and service. He also worked as an EVP and chief retail officer at the $1.6 billion KeyPoint Credit Union in Santa Clara, Calif.
“Andy’s extensive experience in the financial services industry and his commitment to member service throughout his career made him stand out in our nationwide search,” SECU Board Chair Jerry Rael said. “We are excited for him to join our organization and lead our credit union in a future of continued growth.”
SECU’s 171 employees operate seven branches.
The $184 million Bloom Credit Union in Wyoming, Mich., named Joseph Heintskill as president/CEO.
He succeeds Daniel Baines, who retired on July 1 after leading the financial cooperative for 40 years.
Heintskill, who joined BCU in 2013, has served as its CFO. Before joining the credit union, he worked as a manager of auditing services for the Financial Standards Group.
BCU’s 43 employees operate five branches and serve more than 14,000 members.
The board of directors for the $185 million Marshland Credit Union in Brunswick, Ga., appointed Mary Jenrette as president/CEO.
She succeeds Jeff Holcombe, who retired after many years of service.
Jenrette joined Marshland from Synovus Bank where she served as an SVP and a private wealth advisor for more than seven years. She also held several executive and managerial positions with First Charlotte Bank, First Citizens Bank, Park Meridian Bank, RBC and SunTrust Bank, working in retail and commercial banking and wealth management.
Marshland’s 58 employees operate seven branches and serve more than 16,000 members.
