Texas and Oklahoma Expand 'Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union' Campaign
The multi-year credit union marketing campaign has expanded into 26 states.
Two weeks after Credit Union Awareness LLC expanded its multi-year marketing campaign in Wyoming, two new states have opened their doors a little wider to “Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union” – Texas and Oklahoma.
“There is no doubt that this past year has been challenging. But in difficult times, consumers need to know that credit unions have their backs,” Chris Lorence, executive director of Credit Union Awareness LLC, said. “Thank you to our newest contributors in Texas and Oklahoma, and the Cornerstone League, for opening consumers’ eyes to the credit union difference.”
According to the announcement on Tuesday, the campaign expansion includes six new credit unions:
- InTouch Credit Union, Plano, Texas ($952.9 million in assets; 89,587 members).
- Memorial Credit Union, Houston ($94.9 million in assets; 10,309 members).
- River City Federal Credit Union, San Antonio ($129.5 million in assets; 12,171 members).
- Scott & White Educators Credit Union, Temple, Texas ($64 million in assets; 4,379 members).
- Southwest Financial Federal Credit Union, Farmers Branch, Texas ($76 million in assets; 10,014 members).
- Central Oklahoma Federal Credit Union, Davenport, Okla. ($36.7 million in assets; 2,879 members).
According to Credit Union Awareness LLC, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CUNA, 1,116 organizations have now joined the Open Your Eyes campaign in 26 states since the effort began in January 2019.
“In the last year, credit unions have innovated to expand their offerings and meet members where they are,” Cornerstone League President and CEO Caroline Willard said. “Through Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union, we’re taking that innovation to the next level and helping expand credit union awareness on a regional and national level. Our contributors are a critical component of that effort, and I am so happy to welcome our new contributors.”
The campaign is expected to launch in four more states in the coming months.
