With its heritage rooted in the King Soopers Supermarkets, the $477 million Sooper Credit Union in Arvada, Colo., said Tuesday it has launched a $200,000 fundraising initiative to help the families affected by the March 22 King Soopers shooting in Boulder that left 10 people dead, including a police officer.

"We are heartbroken for the families affected by the shooting," Sooper Credit Union CEO Dan Kester said. "We're here to help and are asking the community to share in our giving back efforts during this devastating time."
