CUNA Opens Eyes in Big Sky Country
Montana marks the expansion of the awareness campaign to its 25th state.
CUNA announced Wednesday that its “Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union” campaign has expanded to Montana.
The digital influencer campaign was designed to dispel commonly held myths about credit unions while increasing consumer consideration for credit unions as their best financial partner.
It is administered by CU Awareness LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CUNA. Chris Lorence, executive director of Credit Union Awareness, said the launch precedes CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference, which will be held virtually March 2-4.
“What better way to celebrate credit unions today than to continue to share the amazing opportunities credit unions have to offer consumers,” Lorence said.
Karen Smith, SVP and chief advocacy officer at Montana’s Credit Unions, said the league worked closely with Credit Union Awareness to launch the campaign in Big Sky Country.
“After witnessing the continued success of the campaign across the country, we knew Montana had to get in on the fun,” she said. “We know of the credit union difference, and it is time our fellow Montanans did as well.”
More than 1,106 organizations have pledged $52 million to support the Open Your Eyes campaign. It has launched in 25 states and is expected to launch in at least five more in coming months.
As of Feb. 1, the campaign had drawn more than 2.26 billion impressions and 924 million start-to-finish video views. In addition, it had driven five million consumers to the campaign’s consumer-facing website, YourMoneyFurther.com, to learn about the benefits of joining a credit union.
