Eastern, Midwestern Credit Unions Announce Employee Moves
One executive retires as president of a Missouri credit union, but remains with the credit union as an EVP.
EAST
Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union ($1.6 billion, Lowell, Mass.) hired one new employee and promoted three others.
Eric Bullock was hired as assistant treasurer – branch manager. He will lead the Westford branch in Westford, Mass. Bullock comes to Jeanne D’Arc with 10 years of banking experience, most recently overseeing daily branch functions for the $1.6 billion, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass.-based Hanscom Federal Credit Union, where he served as an assistant branch manager and loan officer.
Robert Boley was promoted to assistant vice president, business services. Boley joined Jeanne D’Arc in 2016 as manager of the Westford branch and moved into business services the following year. As a business services advisor, he has played a major role in the development of Jeanne D’Arc’s business banking and contributed to the creation of training resources used to improve the member experience. He also supported Jeanne D’Arc’s PPP program, which helped over 100 small business members amid the COVID-19 crisis. In his new role, he will oversee the development of the business services team and continued growth of business membership.
Jessica Gadilauskas was promoted to assistant treasurer – human resources. Gadilauskas has served in various roles and departments at Jeanne D’Arc for over 10 years including retail, financial education, and most recently human resources as benefits and payroll administrator. Her responsibilities in her new role will include employee relations, compensation planning and performance management.
Bethany Watson was promoted to assistant treasurer – executive assistant. Watson has been with the credit union for over 17 years, serving in various roles within marketing and consumer lending before pivoting to support the executive team in 2019. She played a critical role in ensuring seamless communication between executives and the board in 2020, planning and scheduling meetings while maintaining important health and safety measures. In her new role, she will continue assist executives as they focus on meeting strategic goals and initiatives for key projects.
MIDWEST
The $1.3 billion, Bloomington, Ind.-based Indiana University Credit Union promoted two employees.
Mandee Weissert was promoted to Ellettsville branch manager. Weissert has worked for IU CU since 2006 and served in several leadership positions, including branch supervisor, contact center team lead, Eastland assistant branch manager, and most recently, 17th Street branch manager. Weissert has represented IU CU in the Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build as well as at various Stone Belt events.
Colby Babbs was promoted to 17th Street branch manager. Babbs has worked for IU Credit Union since 2011 and has served in several leadership positions, including branch supervisor and most recently, Winslow assistant branch manager.
The $4.8 billion, Waterloo, Iowa-based Veridian Credit Union promoted four employees.
Katie Miller was promoted to electronic relations team leader. Miller has worked at Veridian for 15 years and was previously an eServices loan officer.
Tanya Kreimeyer was promoted to team lead in the member contact center. Kreimeyer has worked at Veridian for four years and was previously a member relations officer.
Emily Hacker was promoted to branch manager of the Veridian location inside the Crossroads Hy-Vee store in Waterloo. Hacker has worked at Veridian for 12 years and was previously the branch manager of the Veridian location inside the College Square Hy-Vee store in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Heather Thein was promoted to electronic relations team leader. Thein has worked at Veridian for 10 years and was previously a team lead in the member contact center.
The $1 billion, Papillion, Neb.-based Cobalt Credit Union promoted four employees to vice president positions in its lending department.
Jenie Davis will serve as vice president of loan solutions, managing all aspects of the loan solutions team. Davis has over 35 years of experience in the collections industry, serving the last seven at Cobalt. She most recently worked as the delinquency resolutions manager and a delinquency resolutions specialist.
Julie Strohfus will serve as vice president of indirect lending, and will be responsible for the overall daily and strategic management of indirect lending for the credit union. She has been with Cobalt for 17 years, previously working as a loan officer, branch manager and most recently vice president of consumer lending.
Surie Legge was promoted to vice president of mortgage sales. Legge has been with Cobalt for 19 years, including 14 servicing and originating loans in the mortgage department. Legge earned top sales awards from Cobalt in 2018 and 2019.
Tara Rasmussen was appointed vice president of mortgage operations. Rasmussen will work with the mortgage team to refine departmental processes and efficiencies. She has 18 years of mortgage experience related to processing, closing, underwriting and servicing, and has been with the credit union since 2019.
Chris McCreary, former president of United Consumers Credit Union ($167.7 million, Independence, Mo.), has moved into the EVP position. During his tenure as president, McCreary made many improvements at the credit union, adding debit and ATM cards; telephone, online and mobile account access; and an expanded network of branches and ATMs. McCreary came to United Consumers in July 1993 from Wichita Boeing Employees Credit Union (now the $1.4 billion, Wichita, Kan.-based Meritrust Credit Union), where he served as CFO. He has been part of the financial services industry for more than 30 years, but got his start at CPA firms.
