Credit union core processing company FLEX announced the integration of Zelle into the FLEX mobile banking app and desktop banking solution.

“FLEX is interested in making the member payment experience as seamless as possible,” according to FLEX Chief Marketing Officer Preston Packer. “We believe that partnering with Zelle meets this objective and will assist members in improving the payment process.”

Additionally, Sean Holcomb, COO for FLEX said, “Zelle opens new opportunities for our customers. By partnering with Zelle, every step of the payment process can be performed through the FLEX mobile banking app.”

FLEX currently serves more than 250 credit unions around the country and said it believes adding Zelle to both mobile and desktop platforms helps the credit union member mobile banking experience given the rise in the need and demand for credit unions to offer more digital banking options during the coronavirus.

“Our development is focused on ensuring our credit union clients remain competitive in a crowded financial technology marketplace. Partnering with Zelle is a strategic step in improving member experience through innovative technology,” Jim Simonsen, chief technology officer at FLEX, said.
