Trade Groups Announce Combined Virtual Annual Convention
The Illinois Credit Union League and Heartland Credit Union Association set the agenda for a September virtual gathering.
The Illinois Credit Union League in Naperville and the Heartland Credit Union Association in Overland, Kan., are sponsoring a joint virtual convention in September called Boost.
The new convention will feature speakers, deep-dive sessions, a Crasher’s event, a virtual exhibit hall and vendor demos.
The Boost convention was created after both trade groups cancelled their in-person annual conferences earlier this year.
More than a dozen deep-dive sessions will focus on topics such as executive recruiting, working with fintechs, board member recruitment and retention, text messaging to engage members, marketing in a post-COVID world, increasing auto loans and member buying confidence during the pandemic, women’s leadership, digital transformation and COVID fraud.
One of the convention’s guest speakers will be economist Dr. Mary Kelly of Dallas, who will discuss how the changes in interest rates, imports, investments, housing trends, trade and tariffs will affect businesses, and how leaders can prepare for future trends.
Boost will also host league-specific sessions for each league’s credit unions and a virtual Crasher’s program for young professionals from ICUL or HCUA member credit unions.
The virtual convention will be held Sept. 22-24.
