8 Credit Unions & One League Reveal Career Moves, Retirement

This week’s People news includes a Massachusetts CU’s hiring of a financial wellness Latinx outreach coach.

New opportunities lie ahead for CU professionals.

WEST

First Entertainment Credit Union ($1.66 billion, Hollywood, Calif.) made two new leadership appointments.

Ken Kramer

Ken Kramer was named SVP and CFO and assumed his role on May 20. Kramer has over 35 years of experience and most recently held the role of CEO at the $1 billion United States Senate Federal Credit Union in Alexandria, Va. He started his career with Ernst & Young and has held executive level-roles in finance and administration in the credit union and entertainment industries.

Steve Bone was named SVP and chief information officer.

He assumed his role on May 11 as part of First Entertainment’s growth strategy focused on the progressive use of data, digital and leading edge technology as a differentiator in the financial services and entertainment industry. Most recently, Bone held the role of managing director of payments at Q2, a cloud-based digital banking fintech in Austin, Texas. He also served as SVP for FIS in its large financial institutions division, client partner at Corillian Services and partner at The Capital Markets Company.

Chad Ritchie

The $945 million, Ventura, Calif.-based Ventura County Credit Union added Chad Ritchie to its leadership team as chief information officer. He has more than 25 years of experience and most recently spent five years at Solarity Credit Union ($723 million, Yakima, Wash.) as vice president of digital experience, chief information officer and COO. He also served as senior information architect for Wells Fargo and is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served in military intelligence as an Arabic linguist.

EAST

The $2.4 billion, Smithfield, R.I.-based Navigant Credit Union promoted four team members to leadership positions.

Jeffrey Cascione

Jeffrey P. Cascione was promoted to SVP, commercial lending. Responsible for the oversight of all loan underwriting and approval recommendations and for the day-to-day management of Navigant’s commercial loan portfolio, Jeff has served as vice president in Navigant’s commercial lending department since 2006.

David Decubellis

David M. DeCubellis was promoted to SVP, residential lending. DeCubellis has served as vice president of residential lending since 2010, where he has managed the origination and operation for loan production, pipeline efficiency, financial results and technological efficiency. He founded and was the COO of Estate Funding, Inc. in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and led the sales team at Anchor Financial Mortgage in Pawtucket, R.I.

Timothy Draper

Timothy J. Draper was promoted to SVP, marketing. He has more than 30 years of sales and marketing experience. Draper began his career at Navigant in 1998, and in his new role, he will continue to lead the credit union’s marketing, communications, public relations and philanthropy strategies while taking on a larger role in its long-term corporate strategy.

Meghan Williams

Meghan Williams was promoted to vice president, loan servicing. She joined Navigant in 2009 as a part-time teller, most recently served as branch manager for Navigant’s Smithfield branch. In her new role, Williams will provide leadership, guidance and direction to the loan servicing team and oversee all loan servicing operations for residential, consumer and commercial loans.

The $1.36 billion Greylock Federal Credit Union in Pittsfield, Mass., promoted two employees.

JamieEllen Moncecchi

JamieEllen Moncecchi was named SVP and chief administrative officer. She joined Greylock in 1994; her areas of responsibility now include administration, marketing, community partnerships and support, board governance and human resources.

Gloria Escobar

Gloria Escobar was promoted to the newly-created role of financial wellness Latinx outreach coach. In this new role, Escobar will expand her financial coaching responsibilities, assist members in obtaining ITIN loans, and strengthen Greylock’s relationships within the growing Latinx community and its commitment to its designation as a Juntos Avanzamos credit union.

MIDWEST

CPA Scott Kreinbring joined the executive team of Advantage One Credit Union ($162 million, Brownstown, Mich.) as CFO on May 4. He brings over 30 years’ credit union industry experience, serving in positions such as CEO, COO, CFO, vice president and managing auditor. Kreinbring most recently served as COO for the $126.5 million HPC Credit Union in Alpena, Mich.

Marsha Clarke was promoted to AVP/regional manager at the $636 million Crane Credit Union in Odon, Ind., from the position of branch manager at Crane’s Washington, Ind., location, where she has served since 2008. Assistant Branch Manager Lisa Cox was promoted to branch manager in Washington and Cassie Ennis is the new assistant branch manager. Cox has been with Crane since 2006 and Ennis since 2012.

Jared Voellinger

The $699 million, Newburgh, Ind.-based Heritage Federal Credit Union hired Jared Voellinger as assistant vice president and commercial lending manager. He will direct the commercial lending department, granting business loans to credit union members and prospective members. He has 15 years of financial institution experience and most recently served as a commercial loan officer, commercial banking assistant vice president, and assistant vice president banking center manager in the Evansville, Ind., area.

SOUTH

Chartway Federal Credit Union ($2.2 billion, Virginia Beach, Va.) welcomed two professionals to its leadership team.

Ben Lemoine

Ben Lemoine, who has wide-ranging financial experience leading all facets of portfolio management, data analytics, credit and cash management, capital markets, budget development, capital restoration plans, funding and credit negotiations, risk management and financial analysis, was hired as CFO. Most recently, he served as the vice president of finance and treasury at the San Diego-based, $4.3 billion Mission Federal Credit Union.

Rebecca Riordan

Rebecca Riordan was named chief talent officer. She joined Chartway after spending nearly 30 years in HR leadership and executive roles, including at The Fitzpatrick Companies and Greylock Federal Credit Union.

LEAGUES

Susie Fair

SVP of CU Support Susie Fair will retire from the Louisiana Credit Union League as of July 31, 2020. Fair started her mission in the movement at the Carter Federal Credit Union office at International Paper in Mansfield, La., in May 1985, moving from a part-time receptionist position to the head of marketing. After 13 years with the $410 million, Springhill, La.-based Carter, she began her career of over 20 years of helping credit unions across Louisiana with LCUL.
