Cornerstone League Combines Three Conferences Into One Virtual Format
The September conference, open to all credit union professionals, will also feature a virtual expo hall for exhibitors and sponsors.
The Cornerstone Credit Union League in Plano, Texas, said it decided to shift all three of its leadership conferences into one virtual format because of the coronavirus crisis.
“With so many factors related to the COVID-19 pandemic still unknown, we made the decision to transform our leadership conferences into a single, dynamic virtual experience,” Cornerstone Credit Union League President/CEO Caroline Willard said.
The virtual conference, scheduled for Sept. 1 to Sept. 3, will give credit union leaders the opportunity to choose to attend one, two or all three gatherings for Young Professionals, Inclusion (formerly the Women’s Conference) and the Leadership Summit.
The online experience will also feature a virtual expo hall where attendees can network with exhibitors and sponsors in real time.
Cornerstone League CFO Karen Hart noted that the decision to go virtual made sense from a business perspective.
“During this crisis, we have gotten creative and found new ways to serve credit unions,” Hart said. “This online conference will help attendees explore best practices, network with peers and advance their careers.”
What’s more, the primary program’s focus is not solely on what any individual can do for the credit union, but on a balanced model that also addresses the team, the organization and the larger community, the Cornerstone league said.
Registration begins on June 22 for the virtual conference, which is open to all credit union professionals across the nation.
The Cornerstone League is the industry’s largest regional trade organization in the country and serves more than 500 financial cooperatives in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
