NAFCU is taking a virtual cross-country road trip this summer with a new complimentary webinar series designed to help credit union leaders overcome challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, the national trade association announced Thursday.

The 22-event webinar series, which will cover all 50 states and U.S. territories where credit unions serve, kicks off Monday with an event catered to New York-based credit unions and runs through July 30. During each state- or region-specific event, NAFCU President/CEO Dan Berger, along with NAFCU executives and staff, will lead discussions on how the global crisis has impacted the industry, what credit unions can expect from a regulatory and legislative perspective in the coming months, and tailored strategies for moving forward and planning for the future, NAFCU said. Events will run approximately one hour and 15 minutes each, and attendees will be able to submit questions throughout the presentations via the webinar platform.

“At NAFCU, we are well aware of the challenges credit unions face amid the coronavirus pandemic,” Berger said. “In response, our team is taking our passion and commitment to extreme member service on a virtual roadshow to assist the industry in overcoming operational and regulatory challenges. NAFCU is committed to the success of the credit union industry and its 120 million members, and we are proud to offer proactive and localized learnings during this difficult time.”

NAFCU recently unveiled a “State of the Industry” virtual event for credit union leaders nationwide, which is scheduled to take place June 25.
