NAFCU has launched a new network for human resources professionals, providing access to training materials and a directory of peers in the industry, among other resources.

The network, available only to the association’s members, adds to a lineup of four similar offerings designed for credit union CFOs and compliance professionals, along with lending and marketing staff. With the latest addition, NAFCU sought to make a peer-to-peer network available also to human resources professionals, giving them access to discussion threads and “behind-the-scenes” insights from association staff and industry experts.

“It is in NAFCU’s DNA to help credit unions, and the employees that make them run. This new network is for the human resources professionals who recruit, retain and develop those employees,” Anthony Demangone, the credit union association’s EVP and COO, said.

“The NAFCU team huddled, collaborated and launched an exclusive, member-only online community to connect credit union human resources professionals together to learn,” he added. “Through this partnership, credit unions can discuss and share strategies for talent acquisition and retention, company culture and growing their teams professionally. Likewise, NAFCU can also hear more from credit unions and tailor our services to better serve our membership.”

The association said the network was developed with direct input from member credit unions. Access to the network will be limited to human resources professionals to keep it relevant to that portion of the industry.

Like the four longstanding networks, the new offering for human resources officials gives members access to what NAFCU describes as “a resource library of templates, reports and training from best-in-class organizations and peers.”

In the network for CFOs, members receive access to “ask the expert” events featuring credit union leaders and other experts. In the marketing and growth network, designed for business development staff, member credit unions can find exclusive content from the association’s Strategic Growth Conference.
