Coronavirus: The State of Credit Union Branches

This interactive map helps visualize how credit unions are adjusting operations during the COVID-19 crisis.

CU Times has independently verified the status of 4,895 credit union branches across the nation. Our team looked for the following categories of branch activity: branch closed or open, drive-through service only, branch appointments only, online/mobile banking only.

So far, CU Times has collected data on roughly 22% of the 22,015 credit union branches across the nation to help our readers visualize the impact COVID-19 is having on the way credit unions are doing business.

This interactive map allows readers to see the percentage of credit union branches reported that are closed or have limited services in each state. For more details, click on the state to see a county-by-county breakdown of the status and number of credit union branches verified by CU Times thus far.

Several credit unions began making the shift to close or limit branch activity to appointments and drive-through only during the week of March 16.

CU Times will continue to update and add to our database to help our readers get a complete overview of the status of credit union branches during this social and economic crisis.

The data reflects what CU Times has updated as of April 2.
