David Frazier will become the new president/CEO of the $1.6 billion Texans Credit Union in Richardson on Feb. 3, the board of directors said Monday.
He will replace current President/CEO Steven Erp.

Frazier will join Texans CU from the $554 million Community Resource Credit Union where he has served as its president/CEO since 2008. He began working at the Baytown, Texas-based credit union in 1999 as its chief financial officer.
Before entering the credit union industry, Frazier was the CFO for the BayCoast Medical Center, and he also worked as a controller for East Houston Regional Medical Center.

"David will be an exceptional leader to continue positioning Texans as a competitive force in the marketplace while delivering on our strong corporate values," Texans CU Board Chair George Consolver said.
Frazier's current and past credit union activities include the 2004 Southwest CUNA Management School Award of Excellence, president of CU Managers of Southeast Texas, secretary for the Houston Chapter of Credit Unions, chair of the Texas Business Lenders Group LLP, director of Town North Bank and director for the CU Coalition of Texas.
Texans CU operates 13 branches and employs 225 staff that serves more than 114,000 members.
