Six Credit Unions in Five States Name CEOs

Among the newly appointed top executives is a former NCUA principal examiner.

New credit union CEOs announced.
Julie Kreinbring

Julie Kreinbring was named president/CEO of the $597 million Zeal Credit Union in Livonia, Mich.

She succeeded Anthony Carnarvon.

Kreinbring holds more than 25 years of executive leadership experience and most recently served as EVP and chief strategy officer for Zeal. She also previously served as president/CEO for the $1.9 billion Lake Trust Credit Union in Brighton and held senior executive positions at other financial cooperatives in the Wolverine State.

Brad Bergmooser

Also in Michigan, the $563 million Financial Plus Credit Union in Flint appointed Brad Bergmooser president/CEO.

He succeeds Marilyn (Jill) Reno, who plans to retire.

Bergmooser is joining Financial Plus from the $3.7 billon Baxter Credit Union in Vernon Hills, Ill., where he served as general counsel and vice president of fraud.  He also held senior legal roles with the Illinois Credit Union System and served as both inside and outside legal counsel for credit unions.

Sean Daly

The $534 million People’s Credit Union in Middletown, R.I., named Sean Daly president/CEO.

He succeeds Ellen Ford, who announced her retirement earlier this year.

Daly previously served as CFO and head of technology for Camden National Bank in Camden, Maine. He also served as CFO for Provant Health Solutions in East Greenwich, R.I.

The $362 million Dakotaland Federal Credit Union in Huron, S.D., appointed Ryan Goehner president/CEO.

He succeeds current President/CEO Dan Cumbee, who announced his plans to retire in July 2020 after 33 years of service.

Goehner joined Dakotaland in 2011 as CFO.

Brian Lee will become president/CEO of the $167 million Landings Credit Union in Tempe, Ariz., on Jan. 3, 2020.

Margaret Hunnicutt

He will succeed current Landings President/CEO Margaret Hunnicutt, who will retire.

Lee joined the credit union in June 2014 as CFO. Before working at Landings, he served as a principal examiner for the NCUA for four years.

The $96 million Premier Financial Credit Union in New Holstein, Wis., recently named Brad Grant president.

Brad Grant

He is expected to succeed current President/CEO Steven Nothem, who will retire at the end of February 2020.
