McKenna Retires; Kressman Named NCUA's Acting General Counsel
The NCUA says Kressman will serve as acting GC while "we continue to conduct our search for the next General Counsel of the NCUA.”
NCUA General Counsel Michael McKenna has announced his retirement from the agency and the agency board has approved the appointment of Frank Kressman as acting general counsel.
“Yesterday morning, Mike McKenna shared his decision to retire after over 30 years of service to the NCUA,” NCUA Chairman Rodney Hood said.
Kressman has served as deputy general counsel, having joined the agency in 1998 as a staff attorney. He previously worked as an attorney at the FDIC and the Commodities Futures Trading Commission.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College, a Juris Doctor from the Gonzaga University law Sshool and a Master of Laws Degree from the American University law school.
