CU Employees Celebrate New Career Accomplishments
CUs announcing new hires and promotions this week include Alaska USA FCU, Greater Nevada CU and BayPort CU.
WEST
The $2.7 billion Canvas Credit Union in Lone Tree, Colo., hired Chris Myklebust as chief transformation officer. Myklebust started his career in the securities industry before serving nearly 13 years in several regulatory leadership roles for the State of Colorado. Since 2006, he held commissioner titles spanning financial services, banking and securities. He also served a brief stint as the deputy executive director of Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies.
The $7.9 billion Alaska USA Federal Credit Union in Anchorage, Alaska selected three new executives.
Michelle Bradshaw was appointed SVP of IM governance position. Bradshaw is an accomplished, senior-level leader with more than 20 years of experience in technology and project management. She previously held the position of vice president, IM applications.
Laura Moore was appointed vice president, IM applications. Moore had more than 20 years of experience in technology transformation and automation prior to joining Alaska USA as its applications group manager.
Victoria Worley was hired as vice president, operations.
Worley joins Alaska USA with more than 15 years of Alaska financial institution experience and will oversee credit union operational functions.
The $1 billion Greater Nevada Credit Union in Carson City, Nev., hired Mike Dietrich as chief administrative officer.
Dietrich will oversee digital services, information technology and cybersecurity, and the people services department, which includes people resources, training, staffing and administrative services for Greater Nevada as well as its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Greater Nevada Mortgage and Greater Commercial Lending. Over the last decade, Dietrich’s career has focused on merging teams and technologies while simultaneously growing his awareness of workplace culture, dynamics and organizational change management.
MIDWEST
The $2.3 billion Corporate Central Credit Union in Milwaukee Wis., promoted Kyle Gutierrez to associate systems engineer. In his new role, Gutierrez will leverage technology to improve the financial wellness of members by providing installation, migration and support services for cloud solutions from Microsoft and other best-of-breed technologies. He will also provide pre-sales support to identify business and technical requirements and appropriate solutions to address members’ needs. Gutierrez joined Corporate Central as an information technology technician in November 2015.
SOUTH
The $2.8 billion Keesler Federal Credit Union in Biloxi, Miss., promoted Joanna Calhoun to director of branch operations, central region. In her new role Calhoun will oversee operations at nine Keesler Federal branches in a geographic region of the state that runs from Long Beach to Ocean Springs and north to Wiggins. She has worked as a regional manager supervising the credit union’s branches in Gulfport and Long Beach, as well as serving as the downtown Gulfport branch manager.
The $1.7 billion BayPort Credit Union in Newport News, Va., made two executive hires.
Milton Twisdale was hired as vice president of mortgage. Twisdale brings more than 20 years of experience in the financial and lending industries, with specific capabilities in wholesale mortgage lending, management, training and territory growth. Prior to joining BayPort, his previous positions included senior mortgage banker, senior mortgage sales trainer, senior loan officer and COO.
Ira Williams Jr. was hired as vice president of member experience. Williams has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in banking and credit union operations.
Prior to joining BayPort, Williams began his career in the credit union industry as a branch manager before being promoted to assistant vice president of retail operations and then to vice president of retail banking. He holds Series 6 and 63 licenses from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, as well as a Life and Health Insurance License in North Carolina.
The $2.5 billion Truliant Federal Credit Union in Winston-Salem, N.C., named Beth Eller to the newly-created role of vice president of Truliant Mortgage Services.
This is a senior management position and she will report to COO Anderson Langford. Eller will have responsibility for overall leadership, performance, growth, administration and strategic direction of the credit union’s mortgage services department. She is charged with growing Truliant’s mortgage lending operations and developing new services that best meet its members’ evolving needs.
VENDORS
The Des Moines, Iowa-based fintech startup LenderClose hired Andrew Deignan as director of operations. Deignan will manage the operations and vendor relationships group, ensuring LenderClose delivers the highest level of service to its credit union and community bank lender users. Most recently, Deignan served as vice president of operations at Equifax Inc., one of the three largest consumer credit reporting agencies. There, he supervised a team of more than 400 members spanning multiple domestic locations and countries across divisional boundaries. Deignan brings nearly 20 years of experience in operational leadership to the positon.
