Cooperative Credit Union Association Names New CEO
Longtime NYCUA executive Ronald McLean will lead the regional trade association.
The Cooperative Credit Union Association board of directors on Monday appointed Ronald McLean as president/CEO of the Marlborough, Mass.-based regional trade association.
McLean most recently served as senior vice president and chief engagement officer of the New York Credit Union Association in Albany where he led the member relations team and managed affiliation/membership, chapters and strategic business partners.
He also oversaw the association’s communications, marketing, events, training departments, as well as the New York Credit Union Foundation. Prior to his appointment as chief engagement officer, he served as the NYCUA’s chief marketing officer.
When he joined the association in 1994, McLean worked as a vice president in the executive office where he assisted President/CEO Bill Mellin in executing the goals and objectives of the trade organization and its affiliates.
McLean, a Massachusetts native, will begin his tenure on April 16.
He will succeed interim President/CEO Bernie Winne, who is president/CEO of the $269 million Boston Firefighters Credit Union in Dorchester.
The Cooperative Credit Union Association serves nearly 200-member credit unions throughout Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
