7 Credit Unions, Credit Union Partners Hire & Promote Staff

EAST
The $3.3 billion Affinity Federal Credit Union in Basking Ridge, N.J., hired two employees.
Anthony Dolegowski was hired as assistant vice president of investment services. Dolegowski will work closely with members to provide education and advice needed to determine the credit union’s goals, objectives and risk tolerance. His team will leverage a holistic and relationship-driven approach to financial planning in an effort to ensure members stay on track for success.
Judi Meighan was hired as director of the Affinity FCU Foundation. Meighan will oversee all components of Affinity’s charitable arm, including foundation fundraising events, grant programs and donor relations. By creating partnerships with various local grassroots organizations, Meighan aims to establish long-lasting relationships that will create a stronger community for all Affinity members. She has more than 20 years of experience in the field, and carries a proven track record of serving her community.
MIDWEST
The $628 million Notre Dame Federal Credit Union in Notre Dame, Ind., hired Joseph Stan as business development representative. Stan will help members maximize their savings by introducing them to the appropriate products and services that will improve their lives.
SOUTH
The $193 million JetStream Federal Credit Union in Miami Lakes, Fla., promoted Vanessa Miranda to assistant vice president of human resources and community outreach. Miranda has held the position of human resources manager since July 2016. She began her career with JetStream in 2013 as the community development financial institution manager, assisting with grants, community outreach and business lending. In her new position, she oversees all grant data collection and governmental reporting requirements. Additionally, she works with several low-income community groups and charitable organizations on a multitude of projects with an emphasis on bilingual financial literacy education.
The $1.1 billion Suffolk Federal Credit Union in Medford, N.Y., promoted two employees.
Laura Sferruzzo was promoted to branch manager of the credit union’s Eastport branch. In this position, Sferruzzo is responsible for developing new business relationships in conjunction with meeting credit union goals of increased membership, and loan and deposit growth. She manages all branch operations, performs regular analysis of production and sales data, and participates in local community affairs.
Patricia Matuozzi was promoted to senior compliance officer. In this position, Matuozzi assists with the credit union’s overall compliance, security and risk management programs to ensure that all applicable rules, regulations and statutory requirements are followed. She is responsible for the Bank Secrecy Program and management of all processes. Matuozzi is a liaison with external legal counsel, law enforcement officials and external credit union personnel regarding fraud operations. She joined the credit union in 2004.
CUSOS
Members Trust Company, owned by America’s Credit Unions, appointed John M. Largent CFA, CFP, CAP, CCE as president/CEO. In this role, Largent will continue to lead the expanding investment team. Largent will succeed Tom Walker, who has served as CEO since the company’s inception in 1987. Largent joined the company in 2004, serving as chief investment strategist. Under his leadership, his team grew from $60 million in assets under management to more than $2.3 billion. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, having started his career with a position on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
VENDORS
Filene Research Institute announced Christie Kimbell as chief experience officer, leading Filene’s marketing strategy, account management, events and communities (i3 and Cooperative Trust). She will be responsible for driving the Filene brand experience across member organizations and stakeholder groups. Kimbell has 18 years of marketing leadership and 12 years of experience in business development. Kimbell will be instrumental in helping members translate Filene’s research and incubation concepts into actionable business practices that accelerate growth.
LenderClose hired three new employees.
Russ Panula was hired as a software engineer. Panula, an information systems developer with 25 years of experience, has devoted his career to using the most innovative engineering techniques to move quickly from design to implementation. His resume includes engagements with some of the most well-known brands in the U.S. market, including Pillsbury, Target, Merrill Corporation and Robert Half.
Radha Talluri was hired as a software engineer. Radha most recently served as a research assistant for the University of Missouri’s Networking and Multimedia Lab. There, he designed and implemented several user-centric tools to improve engagement with one of the lab’s software tools. These included a gateway portal, API endpoints and a chatbot feature that increased usage of the university’s neuroscience gateway by 40%.
Sam Faust was hired as a relationship manager. Faust comes from the $129 million Statewide Federal Credit Union in Flowood, Miss., where he was a service specialist within the financial cooperative’s lending team. His direct experience with underwriting, processing and dispersing loans gives him an excellent view into the daily challenges and opportunities facing community lenders.
